Gonna be honest with you all, I could have been more critical and paid more attention when I first was thinking of submitting to this roster. I *should* have, actually. The quick acceptance time was a little odd, but I thought at that time... my demos are only a few minutes long, so they have to be vetting these a bit quickly, right? Well, the sheer number of people that got accepted took some wind out of my sails. Not because people don't deserve to be on a roster - we all do - but the volume of it all just... made me feel a bit insignificant. Now these posts about AI on the site are cropping up and I feel like I've stepped on a landmine. I was sent one project audition from the website owner, and that didn't read as something odd. In fact, it seemed quite legitimate to me. Sometimes we don't catch stuff like this until it's too late. It's easy to be caught up in the excitement of having a new demo, wanting to apply to anything and everything... it happens. I'm gonna take this as a lesson to be more vigilant in the future, and to pace myself better. For those of us who also got accepted hastily, just be cautious with anything that gets sent your way. For those who saw the red flags, thanks for pointing it out to those of us who didn't (and I mean that sincerely). Anyways... back to the grind, right?
