At the subnational level, Kogi, Benue and Anambra recorded the highest y/y headline inflation rates while Ebonyi Imo and Katsina posted the lowest. For food inflation, Kogi, Adamawa and Benue had the highest rates, whereas Imo, Bauchi and Katsina recorded the lowest.

In February, urban inflation rose to 15.53% from 15.36% in January, while rural inflation eased further from 14.4% to 13.9% within the same period.

🚨Inflation Watch The latest figures released by @NBS_Nigeria show that headline inflation eased slightly to 15.06% in February 2026 from 15.09% in January. However, food inflation rose to 12.12% from 8.89% within the same period.
