May 25, 1991: Operation Carlota ended. That day, the last Cuban soldiers came home after 16 years in Southern Africa. They didn’t just defend Angola, they freed Namibia & broke apartheid’s back. One of the greatest acts of internationalism in history. The world still owes Cuba.

@Alex_Fairfax06 That doesn't disprove my point. Your image means nothing. Somehow, I don't believe you. As you lied in your posts, and your channel spews lies. If and I say "if" you are descended from an aristocratic family... Well, your family has truly fallen...

@blalalabluaxxi @BovrilG England in 2026 would look like the poorest Eastern European nation 200 years ago if they never left this country to go pillaging. Never mind 100s of years of Free Labour the West Africans gave in Caribbean/Americas. Racist whites = the most ungrateful creatures alive.

@MInthenow70635 Have you got any evidence to back that up? Looks like you are making stuff up. There are extreme viewpoints in Christianity. Remove Islam and replace Christianity, and it's the same. No, you aren't a bigot, just a liar, which is even worse.

The Bolsheviks didn't seize power as the Constituent Assembly had by the time of the October Revolution exercised no political authority. The power rested in the soviets. The elections from the Wikipedia article doesn't mention that the Bolsheviks had the majority of the workers and soldiers' votes, where the real power lay, which you conveniently left out. Also, the Social Revolutions where split between right and left-wing sides, and the left wing supported the Bolsheviks, which should actually show that the peasants supported the Bolsheviks.

Russia held an election a few weeks after Lenin seized power in 1917. Lenin's party finished a distant second. Lenin then abolished the other parties and shut down the constituent assembly right after it convened.

You are switching from post to post to avoid my points. Ok let's play your little game. Ochoa was a danger to the revolution of course he was executed. He is the same man who sentenced 2 Cubans to death for raping a young girl in Angola. So it's fitting he be held accountable for his own actions. As for your claim about Cuban being defeated? Are you serious? You and your cohorts couldn't break the line at Cuito Cuanavale. Hence why when the Cubans stopped the advance of the apartheid forces the Cubans launched a outflanking attack which defeated your forces leading to a mass retreat, which was hastily done loads of weapon systems and supplies we left behind. Don't worry I'm going to do a deep dive on this battle for my channel as put an end to white rule forever.

@AgoraSignal @ErnstRoets I was in that war. The Cubans (Fidel & co.) executed general Arnaldo Ochoa Sanchez (ostensibly for drug smuggling) but he was a huge embarrasment to CIC Fidel Castro and "general" Raul Castro having been defeated by the SADF at the battle of Cuito Cuanavale.

"Raw numbers" tell us less than meets the eye. More than three times as many people died during the First World War as during the Holocaust. That doesn't make WWI a genocide. During the Nakba, more than 75% of Palestinians residing in the territory that became Israel were expelled within the space of less than two years, pursuant to a pre-meditated policy of ethnic cleansing implemented on the basis of an organised campaign of state violence. A larger proportion of Jews from Arab countries departed, in a process that unfolded over the course of more than two decades. This reflected multiple reasons, in which a pre-meditated policy of collective expulsion by the relevant governments, and organised campaigns of state violence did not play a significant role. In fact, the only government that had a pre-meditated policy of ensuring their collective departure was that of Israel. That doesn't make it any less of a tragedy, or justify the associated dispossession, which is always illegitimate, but to suggest equivalence between the two, where one was a consequence of the other and had a fundamentally different character, is simply obscene. The claim that Jews claimed Palestine as their homeland for the past several thousand years is similarly erroneous, and on several counts. First, because prior to the emergence of Zionism the Jewish attachment to Palestine took the form of a religious aspiration, to be fulfilled by divine intervention, rather than a national political program. Evidence to the contrary is notable for its absence. Second, because claims of ancient title are irrelevant, have no legal standing, and are additionally impossible to substantiate. As has been pointed out, Fascist Italy claimed Libya on similar pretexts and no one takes it seriously. DNA evidence is highly contested. More importantly it is thoroughly irrelevant. This is not a paternity suit. As for Palestinians citizens of Israel, their growth has not been "spectacularly large", and conforms to the growth of other sectors of the Palestinian population and indeed that of the surrounding Arab societies. Nothing unusual about it.
John Aziz@aziz0nomics

On raw numbers, one was a near-complete reduction, and the other was not. Yes, I can buy into most of the things you just said as caveats. Some were expelled. Some fled violence. Some faced persecution. Or dispossession. Or rising anti-Jewish discrimination. And some left voluntarily, believing that life in Israel would be better. Fine. But the numbers are brutal: they went from more than a million to less than 30,000. Meanwhile, the growth of Palestinian/Arab citizens of Israel has been spectacularly large. Was the Nakba premeditated: yes, I am not looking to dispute that. As for Switzerland, Palestinians have never made any such claim to that land, and there is no historical basis for it. There is a historical basis to the Jewish claim to the Levant, even if you dispute or reject it, it is based on a widespread and real narrative, and there is plenty of DNA evidence showing Palestinians and all kinds of Jews are related.

The Arab slave trade started earlier, lasted longer and enslaved more people than the Atlantic slave trade. Muslims enslaved 30 million Africans and 5 million Europeans since the 7th century. Many Muslim countries are still actively practicing slavery today. Why don’t we learn about it in school?

@AgoraSignal @realMaalouf So Muslim countries are too feeble minded to know what human rights are, because the West was mean. Iran regime kills thousands of their own people. One Muslim country has public slave auctions. Kids working in mines in atrocious conditions. Child brides & women are property, etc

This is my rebuttal to his obviously false claim — for anyone actually interested in the history, feel free to Google every point below. The existence of Zheng He’s treasure ships isn’t a matter of opinion. It’s documented across multiple independent sources: Ming shipyard records from Longjiang list the construction of multi‑mast, bulkhead‑reinforced treasure ships for the voyages of 1405–1433. These are bureaucratic logs, not legends. Archaeology backs it up: the surviving 4.3 m rudder post from the Nanjing shipyard is far larger than anything used on European ships of the same era. You don’t build a rudder that size for a “mythical” ship. Foreign eyewitness accounts from Calicut, Hormuz, Mogadishu, and Malindi describe the arrival of massive Chinese fleets. These are independent, non‑Chinese sources. Chinese navigation manuals like the Yingyai Shenglan detail the routes, ports, monsoon patterns, and logistics for sailing to India, Arabia, and East Africa. These are operational documents written by people who were actually there. These ships operated across the entire Indian Ocean. China didn’t pursue global exploration after 1433 because the Ming court turned inward politically, not because the ships were incapable or imaginary. The record is clear.

What slave trade? You mean Libya? Where the US and France bombed Muammar Gaddafi's regime to support al-Qaeda and ISIS, that slave trade? Libya is still split today, or al-qaeda terrorists besieging Mali, allegedly supported by France? To right im blaming so-called Western Civilisation as it's nothing but made-up stories that have no basis in reality. You are a product. Deflecting and bringing up points that have no relevance to the thread.

@AgoraSignal @realMaalouf This is also taught in school. The point is the slave trade of today isn't taught in schools. You're blaming Western civilization because of past history. Muslim world are the victims & aren't responsible for their slave trade happening now.

Well, you are talking about it now. The European Transatlantic system is taught as it's shaped our modern world. The Arab system never did. Last I checked, the Arabs have paid for their crimes in blood by Europeans, killing them in the millions, colonisation. Creating nations out of thin air. You don't mention that part, do you?

No, you didn't. My people in Aotearoa did a better job than you, Dutch settlers. We had fewer numbers as well. The British actually respected my people, unlike yours. Also, they learned everything to counteract the Dutch settlers' tactics by going back to their experiences against my people. Which the British studied extensively and documented it. They used the same tactics to defeat the Dutch settlers. Many non-whites took on the British Empire. Yeah, the professional British army came to Aotearoa, elite units as well, when they were engaged in war all over the empire, from the Sepoy rebellion to the Opuim wars. Not to mention garrison duties and fighting in Africa, clearing land for your settler ancestors as well, I might add. Your generals were all defeated, and then sold out your settler brothers, Jan Smuts being one. By the time the Boer Wars were fought, peace reigned in the Empire. You forget to mention it was the Germans who armed your settler's kin, as you would never get guns from anybody. I know my history. I welcome your rebuttal.

@AgoraSignal @ErnstRoets The Boers (essentially farmers by day) took on the mighty British Empire and it's professional army and gave them a run for their money. We changed the way the British fought wars from then on. Our generals ran ring around the British Sandhurst trained lot.
