Have you ever noticed how the most violent, insane, and obnoxious people support Palestine, while the calm, intelligent, and decent people stand with Israel?

@DerekPederson3 The settler movement is designed to drive out the Palestinians from the land, and Israel has carried out genocide and still is. Your comments can be fact-checked easily. Israel has killed more than the numbers given, as Gaza is in rubble and all the bodies are under there.

Very few people who agree with both of these correct claims: A) The settler movement in the West Bank are modern-day fascists, and the Netanyahu government's implicit endorsement of the recent rein of terror there against Palestinians is not only morally repugnant but potentially catastrophic for the future of Israel and the region. B) The IDF did not systematically target civilians in the Gaza Strip and I still have no idea why that became consensus when it's pretty obvious to me that, even if the IDF were simply *indifferent* to civilian loss of life, they would have easily killed orders of magnitude more people than they actually did kill, and in a much shorter time frame. And it would not even really be that unusual for urban combat.

Slavery ended not because the white man intended to free slaves but because machines were invented which did the work that slaves hitherto did, and keeping slaves became more expensive than using these machines. So, if a time ever comes when human labour is required en masse to do jobs that machines cannot do, the white man would invade Africa again and enslave the continent. When that happens, we are nothing but sitting ducks. Only the threat of mutually assured destruction can prevent this from happening. Which is why Africa must build núclear weàpons like the future of our continent depends on it, because it actually does. It is better to build a weapon that we might never need than need them one day and not have them. If we don’t, our children will ask what we did to protect their future.

@I_W_M Well, they never followed that, as there is plenty of documentary evidence that disproves that army units followed what is depicted in the film. The notorious case is in Basra in 2004, where British soldiers beat a young Iraqi protester with their boots.

@RWApodcast There is no evidence of that. Israel can barely move 10km from the border. Even if they could get to the Lantani River and set up some form of occupation. They would be stuck in a long insurgency.

The IDF's ground game is not very good but if they manage to attrite Hezbollah enough, permanent Israeli occupation or even annexation of Lebanon south of the Litani river is a possible outcome of this war
