bagMUSTER is coming to Tasmania! From May, collection sites will begin operating across the state, making it easier to recycle eligible agricultural plastic packaging. Additional sites will continue to open over the coming weeks as the network expands. Once a site becomes operational, it will be added to the collection site map. To view current locations and check for updates, visit: bagmuster.org.au #bagMUSTER #Agsafe #Tasmania #Sustainability #Recycling #AgVetChemicals

Product stewardship programs don’t operate on their own. They require coordination, compliance oversight, industry engagement and operational delivery across the country. During Product Stewardship Week, our team took time to reflect on the responsibility involved in delivering these national initiatives — and to celebrate the role we play in supporting them. Behind every collection, every training session and every compliance framework are people committed to making stewardship work. #ProductStewardshipWeek #AgStewardship #AustralianAgriculture

Product stewardship in Australian agriculture is supported by industry-led initiatives. Agsafe delivers four national programs: ➡️ drumMUSTER – recycling eligible, triple-rinsed containers ➡️ ChemClear – safe disposal of unwanted chemicals ➡️ bagMUSTER – clearing soft plastic ag bags ➡️ Member Services – strengthening safety across the supply chain Every part of the supply chain has a role. Welcome to Agsafe’s first Product Stewardship Week. This week recognises and strengthens product stewardship across the agricultural industry. Product stewardship means shared responsibility — from manufacture to disposal — to ensure ag products are managed safely, sustainably and responsibly. From container recycling and chemical disposal to training and safe handling, stewardship happens every day across our industry. Now it’s time to spotlight it. bagMUSTER is Agsafe’s product stewardship program that provides a recycling pathway for single-use agricultural plastic bags. The program’s ability to expand depends on one critical factor: reliable processing capacity once bags are collected. By strengthening local processing capability, bagMUSTER can expand in a staged, practical way across Victoria, with a pathway to national rollout. Agricultural plastic recycling only works when there is strong processing capacity behind it. A newly announced project at Pact Group's Victorian facility, supported through matched Federal and Victorian Government funding and co-investment from Agsafe, includes trials to determine the feasibility of recycling woven polypropylene (PP) bulk bags. This investment strengthens onshore capability and supports a more dependable pathway from collection to recycling. Yesterday, a major recycling project was announced to boost collection & recycling of ag bulk bags—up to 5,000 tonnes annually, building local capability & supporting #bagMUSTER expansion. Supported through matched Federal and Victorian Government funding and co-invested by Agsafe (a wholly owned subsidiary of @CropLifeOZ and the operator of bagMUSTER), the project includes trials for recycling woven polypropylene (PP) bulk bags into plastic resin, and then, using that resin to remanufacture new bulk bags for the Australian market.
