I think it's an opportunity for you to invite the commander of the US troops in Nigeria to your studio, and ask them him exactly what they have been doing in the country. I would like you to press him the same way you pressed Dave Umahi with “cost per kilometre.” The Americans promised to come in and end insecurity in Nigeria, did they?

A Nation Losing Its HUMANITY. Some events shatter a society so deeply that words are no longer enough to express the shock; the brutal killing of a teacher and the horrific rape and murder of an elderly woman are among such tragedies. These are not isolated incidents but signs of deeper moral and social decay. How did we get here? How did we reach a point where teachers are hunted and killed, and the elderly—custodians of memory and wisdom—suffer such dehumanising violence? This is more than a security crisis; it is a failure of collective humanity. We have become desensitised, consuming tragedy briefly and moving on, allowing indifference to normalise the unacceptable. To the families affected, I share in your grief. But grief alone is not enough. We must demand accountability and urgent systemic change. If such atrocities no longer move us to action, then we risk losing our shared humanity. -PO

“Qualification is a perspective; it depends on where you're coming from. Rabiu Kwankwaso said he's more qualified because he has a PhD; I don't have a PhD. Today, in the country, I would say he has some experience. He's been exposed; there's no doubt about that. I don't think his claim was wrong, but for what Nigeria needs today, Nigeria needs a wealth creator; it needs a wealth manager. I have built businesses from scratch into reputable businesses locally and internationally. In this context, nobody today, including the president, can claim to have passed through my experience.” — Peter Obi

We received a delegation from the China Harbour Engineering Company Limited led by Mr. Nicolas Liu, where we discussed the proposed Azumini - Obeaku Sea Port and Inland Waterways Corridor project in Abia State. I have granted approval for an immediate feasibility study on the project. While the company initially suggested a six to seven-month timeline, I have directed that the study be completed within a shorter period so that progress can be accelerated. Alongside the study, we will begin the process of securing approvals from the Presidency, Nigerian Ports Authority, and the Federal Ministry of Blue Economy. I have also encouraged the team to visit the proposed site to assess its viability, given its proximity to the High Sea and the technical requirements such as dredging. The project has the potential to transform Abia State’s economy and contribute significantly to Nigeria’s maritime development. With strong commitment, proper funding, and strategic partnerships, we can make the Azumini Sea Port a reality. I thank the team from China Harbour Engineering Company Limited for their presentation and look forward to positive outcomes from the feasibility study.

🇨🇳🇳🇬 Nigeria, thanks to China, has started selling gasoline instead of just oil. China helped build the $20 billion Dangote Oil Refinery. As a result, approximately 44,000 barrels of gasoline were exported per day in March.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

When they move abroad as immigrants - they make friends based on visa categories. They don't even date below their visa categories. 😂 When they're on Twitter, the reiterate that stratification. small accounts vs big accounts. 💀 I reflect a lot on our ideological design, as a people. Nigerians are morally bankrupt, culturally deficient and rooted in faux elitism. This is why some markets exist for us, because they can take advantage of that shameless insecurity - and I genuinely don't think the reason is poverty. I've visited other poor countries. These countries do not see cars beyond what they are, a means a transportation. They don't see restaurants beyond what they are. They don't see dates beyond what they are. Something fundamentally is wrong with us. For us, it isn't even enough that we succeed - it is important that other fail, or don't succeed as much as we do. It is important for us to have an edge other others. It is such a sick attitude. Person A has one house. Person B has two houses. It isn't enough that they both have roof over their heads - Person B innately subclasses Person A. You should also to hear from a Nigerian gym goer that you're not "man enough" because you don't bench as much as he does. 💀 As segwayed as these analogies are, they are rooted in the same proportionality. It points to the same mental illness. Who did this to us?
