Yes I tend to label an ideology encouraging women to center their own pleasure as liberatory and an ideology that tells women sex is something men do to them as oppressive. I’m just weird that way

I’m not a bioessentialist. Having sex with men isn’t inherently degrading. We are all socialized by patriarchy & have to unlearn that socialization but doing so requires we center our pleasure & figure out what we actually want w/o politicizing it in the other direction

No. Casting any category of sex act as inherently degrading doesnt negate womens agency or suspect their pleasure. But pretending the narrow set of porn-shaped degrading high-risk practices pushed under the sex positivity umbrella has no downsides is what actually enables coercion and laundering. Women arent freely choosing in a vacuum. Porn normalizes these acts then critics get called haters for pointing it out. Data shows the spread and the risks without needing to moralize every individual choice.

@rosepe0ny Legalization provides leverage to women to stop exploitation and punishment for those who try. It gives them legitimacy so they can exit sex work without having to worry about a secret past harming future prospects.

@rosepe0ny Where have I ever said men shouldn’t be held accountable? Legalization provides more structures by which to hold men accountable instead of forcing women into underground spaces where the law will victimize them before even bothering with their attackers.
