You need to add flavour to whatever you are studying at postgraduate level. If your undergraduate degree is in Mathematics, don't limit yourself to Mathematics alone. You can go for Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematical Biology, Financial Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, and many other applied areas. If you studied Biology, you can consider fields such as Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Biology, Marine Biology, and other applied areas. If you studied Physics, you can look at fields such as Medical Physics, Geophysics, Astrophysics, Renewable Energy, Materials Science, Computational Physics, and many others. The world is changing. At postgraduate level, try to add a new dimension to what you already know. Your undergraduate degree gives you the foundation, but your postgraduate degree can give you a specialization and open new doors. Don't just study for the sake of adding another degree to your CV. Think about how you can combine what you already know with what the world needs today.
