@cursedconnector That's the thing. I'm in the middle of Germany. The mobile network just has huge holes everywhere. Especially at my workplace because of network congestion and in my old home town that had a mobile antenna burn up that was never replaced. I have cable internet that's okish tho.

@Ahnassis That's fair, are you rural / somewhere with real topography? I'm lucky enough to have a 1Gbps fibre link as a residential option where I'm at, but a neighbour appears to have starlink pointing off a pole... Is that something you've considered?

@cursedconnector Modern internet is dogshit. Haven't had a solid data connection at work or home in years. I have to tape my phone to a window if i want to load twitter on my thinkpad via usb tether. And then i need a hub because the Fucking thing only lasts 4 hours and only has 3 usb ports.

@Ahnassis I think the compute model is a bit more appealing for this form factor though, at least it was, before things got super silly expensive on RAM, etc. You can have a very speedy, portable device, and usually modern internet links will let you dial into a home workstation.
