I see the conversations happening and I want to be straight about something. The vouch system is not perfect. There are good people who haven't gotten in yet. People who have held for years, never complained, never caused problems. I know they exist and I know it's frustrating. But then I read the same chat and I see people demanding royalties for holding a JPEG. People who haven't opened Discord in months suddenly upset about access. People who don't follow anyone involved in what we're building but feel entitled to a seat. That contrast is exactly why the system exists. If you're a holder who has been patient and supportive and you're still waiting, your time is coming. The community is growing and more vouches are happening every week. People inside the server are actively looking for good holders to bring in. If you're a holder who showed up for the first time in six months to complain about not being included, maybe ask yourself what you were doing for the last six months.

one of the biggest inefficiencies in the Pokemon card market is the fact that normal people (anyone who isn't a vendor) can almost NEVER get FULL market value for whatever their cards are worth if you're new to Pokemon you may not know this, but if you've been around you already know what I mean let's say you buy a card from someone for $500 then lets say that card goes up to $650 in price if you want to sell that card, the MOST you're going to get is 87% if you sell it on eBay, and if you try to sell it in person you're only going to get offered 80% so if you buy a card at $500, and sell it on eBay for $650, you're only getting $560 if you try to sell it in person, you get even less than $560 vendors are usually very strict when it comes to these percentages too whenever they have a card to sell, they always list it at the highest possible price but whenever they are buying cards they always try to buy them at the absolute lowest percentage possible if you're a collector and you simply don't care about pricing or anything like that, then this doesn't really matter but if you're a trader, it matters I personally find this to be one of the most interesting things about the Pokemon card economy, and I wonder how long it stays this way

Two things surprised me about the Elder calls. The first is that almost nobody asked what they get out of being an Elder. Not one person in 13 calls led with "what's in it for me." Every single person led with some version of "what do you need" or "where do I fit" or "I've been wanting to do this for years." The second is that three separate people, completely independently, identified the exact same problem and offered the exact same solution. I'm not going to say what it was yet. But when three strangers diagnose the same thing without talking to each other, you know you're not guessing at what's broken. You know. The people in this group are not typical NFT holders. They're business owners, finance professionals, advertising executives, foremen, developers, web strategists, creatives. People who ship things in real life and want to ship things here. I went into these calls expecting to convince people. Instead they convinced me that this community has been underestimated for a very long time. 7 more calls. Then we build.
