Big news from the @DeepIndaba Community Challenge! Two DSN communities didn’t just make the Top 5 finalists. They went all the way to clinch 1st place and 3rd place overall! @AbujaDsn presented by @akubop took the crown with Lafiya Lau, an AI-driven health solution tackling cancer misdiagnosis in Africa, winning 1st place and a cash prize of $3,000. @AiPlus_FUTA impressed with CLEANSIGH, an AI-powered platform that verifies community cleanups, rewards participation, and maps waste hotspots. Presented by @depo_feranmi, they secured 3rd place and a cash prize of $1,000. These prizes aren’t just numbers. They will be channeled directly into scaling these brilliant projects and strengthening the communities behind them. We couldn’t be prouder of this achievement! This win is more than recognition. At this session, two of our vibrant DSN communities - @AbujaDsn and @AiPlus_FUTA - the stage today, pitching innovative solutions as they compete for a spot in the top 3 among the top 5 communities represented. @AbujaDsn (represented by @akubop) presented Lafiya Lau, an AI-driven solution designed to tackle cancer misdiagnosis in Africa. @AiPlus_FUTA (represented by Oluwaferanmi Oladepo) presented CLEANSIGH, an AI-powered system that verifies community cleanups, rewards participation, and maps waste hotspots.
