Some context for my followers who might be confused:
20 years ago we were allowed to buy and detonate as much safe fireworks as we can afford over the course of one to two weeks

Now in China we say “happy Chinese new year” at midnight and carry on with our holiday But 20 years ago we say “time to start the unlimited explosives detonation fest” Actually we don’t say that we just go outside and detonate whatever we have without elaboration China
