Thank you San Jose for hosting a successful Grand Wonfel Run event today. With participation well over 200, we had a colorful and memorable occasion. Special thanks go to Wonfel organizing committee, our volunteers, Maleda Soccer Club, Ethiopian Community Services and Ethiopian Nursing Association and our generous sponsors. This run event should be repeated in other US cities to bring together the community, strengthen our bonds, create a joyful and lasting memories for our children while supporting those in need. Dear Supporters of Wonfel Aid, We sincerely thank you for your support of Wonfel Aid, a nonprofit organization based in the USA that empowers the people of Ethiopia through various development initiatives. Wonfel had launched the "Bugna and Wag-Himera Famine Relief" project to address a severe hunger and starvation crisis in Ethiopia's Bugna region and surrounding areas. In partnership with the Kidus Lalibela Development Association and the Wollo Bete Amhara Charity Association, we have distributed the $65,500 raised to provide direct food assistance, distribute seeds to farmers, and offer medical support to individuals and families in need in the Bugna, North Wollo, and Wag Hemera Woredas of Ethiopia. Additionally, a team of medical professionals was sent to the Birko, Kobe, Ayena, and Kidus Harebe districts. These doctors delivered essential healthcare services, including prenatal care, treatment for common illnesses, and training for local health professionals. Due to the security risks in the area, the team on the ground faced significant personal risks while delivering this life-saving emergency aid. We genuinely appreciate your kindness and compassion in supporting this cause. Together, we can make a difference.

እንኳን ለብርሃነ ትንሳኤው አደረሳችሁ!!! Through collaboration with dedicated partners, Wonfel has delivered meals to 200 families at the Debre Birhan-Woeinshet Camp. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.

ደረት ያስደቃው በድርቅ የተመታው የላስታ ቡግና ማህበረሰብ ጉዳይ ላልማንና ለጋሾችን በእጅጉ አስተሳስሯል። የወገን ደራሽ ወገን ነው የሚለው የጥሪ ደወል የተሰማቸው ወገኖች ዛሬም ከያሉበት" እንዴት ናችሁ?' በማለት ድጋፋቸው እንዲደርስ የቅዱስ ላሊበላ ልማት ማህበርን አደራ ብለዋል። ከእነዚህ ወገኖች መካከል አንደኛው ወንፈል ተራድዖ ድርጅት ሲሆን በለገሰው 1,250,000 ብር ድርቁን ምክንያት አድርጎ ለተከሰተው የህጻናትና የእናቶች የጤና ችግር የኢመርጀንሲ መድሃኒት ተገዝቶ በቡግና ወረዳ ስር ለሚገኙ ጤና ጣቢያዎች ከመከፋፈላቸውም በላይ በላልማ የሚመራ የሜዲካል ቲም የህክምና አገልግሎት እንዲሰጥ እንዲሁም ተጨማሪ ሙያዊ ጥናት እንዲያካሂድ ተደርጓል። ይህ መርሃ ግብር ከመጋቢት 19/2017 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ በመካሄድ ላይ ይገኛል።ይህ የተራድዖ ድርጅት ከላልማ ጋር በመተባበር ቡግና ወረዳ 3ኛ ዙር፣ዋግህምሪ ዞን አንድ ዙር ድጋፍ ያደረገ በመሆኑና በሁነኛነቱ ከተረጂ ወገኖቻችንና ከላልማ ከፍ ያለ ምስጋና ተችሮታል። በተጨማሪም ህብረተሰቡ ወደተሻለ ኑሮው እስኪመለስ ድረስ በተጓዳኝ የእርሻ ግብዓቶችን እንዲታገዝ አስተያየት የሰጠ መሆኑን ማህበሩ በአጽንኦት ያሳስባል።

Wonfel is collaborating with the Kidus Lalibela Medical team to provide critical medical support to four health clinics located in Bugna Woreda. This initiative aims to send experienced doctors and necessary medications to enhance healthcare services in the region.

As of March 12th, the Wonfel fundraising campaign, which aims to address the severe famine crisis affecting Bugna, North Wollo, and Wag Hemera Woredas in Ethiopia, has raised about $56,000.   In collaboration with the Kidus Lalibela Development Association and the Wollo Bete Amhara Charity Association, $32,500 of the $44,000 allocated has already been distributed to provide direct food assistance to individuals and families in need, while the remaining $11,500 is in the process of being distributed.   Additionally, Wonfel has begun working with the Kidus Lalibela Health Team to address medical needs. Wonfel launched a fundraising campaign to address the famine crisis in Bugna North Wello and the Wag Hemera Zones. We are collaborating with the St. Lalibela Development Association and the Wello Bete Amhara Charity Association in Ethiopia. So far, we have allocated $25,000 and have distributed these funds to support individuals in need.
