Aikin started as the system Nicholas built to save a four-person software company. The first version had thirteen specialist agents, too many handoffs and a 68-message confirmation loop. Those mistakes became the rules, and the system became the company.

Most AI agent projects do not stall because the agent cannot do anything useful. They stall because useful tasks do not become reliable operations on their own. An agent can summarise a file, draft an email, classify a request, or answer a narrow question. That is useful. But real work has more edges than the task itself. The firm still needs to know which context the agent can use, which tools it can touch, what action it is allowed to take, who reviews the result, where the evidence is recorded, and who remains accountable. That is the operating-layer problem. An Agentic-OS is the layer around agents: context, tools, permissions, review, memory, measurement, and governance. Before buying another agent, map the work around the agent.

ICP "cloud engines" demoed to me today. Incredible!! Why: 1) Create hackproof apps that survive the coming "AI security apocalypse" 2) Agents (Caffeine, Claude code, Perplexity...) create better apps/services 3) Pure AI/no security or sys admin teams 4) Sovereign/no venor lock-in

🇺🇸 Anthropic's Mythos AI can run an entire cyberattack on its own. What used to take the world's best hackers days or weeks now takes an hour, and sometimes even minutes. Equip a criminal gang with it and they're operating at the level of a small nation state. Give it to a small country's intel unit and they're pulling off the kinds of breaches only China could manage before. Mythos already autonomously found exploits in every major web browser and cracked Linux code that runs everything from Android phones to NASA supercomputers. Former NSA cybersecurity director Rob Joyce calls what's coming "a dark period" where offensive AI has the upper hand. That period has started. Source: Bloomberg
