Those on board had 1,000 criminal charges between them for sex offences, drug supply and organised crime.

The government may scrap fire-safety standards for household furniture that lead to the use of toxic flame-retardant chemicals. Health hazards include carcinogenicity and endocrine disruption. The standards were set in the 1990s when more people smoked. jrnl.ie/7025099

Dublin Central likely has one of the highest concentrations of IPAS centres in the country.
If we conservatively estimate that there are between 3k–5k people in IPAS & emergency accommodation at ~€90 a night, that’s roughly €100m €160m a year of taxpayer money being spent in the area.
None of which, of course, goes into infrastructure, schools, guards etc.
To put into context, the North East Inner City taskforce, set up in 2017 in response to serious crime and deprivation...gets only €7.5m a year.
Also last year, @DavidMcredmond was asked to chair a new taskforce on the city centre. Even at a high level, he estimated that delivering real improvements could require €750m to €1bn in capital spending + €150m a year.
