VICTOR ENGINE RUN As with our Nimrod anti-det (anti-deterioration) run last month, the engines of the Victor will be run-up on January 11th. It's a normal Museum day, meaning no special tickets needed and return tickets are valid (if still in-date and signed).

It's our last day of opening before Christmas today - we're closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, reopening on Friday the 27th. We'd like to thank all our visitors and supporters across the last year, along with the team who make it all possible. Merry Christmas!

@air_museum I made this Handley Page Halifax heavy bomber in 1/72 scale many years ago,like the one the Yorkshire Air Museum has on display. I think this Halifax was based at RAF Elvington, in Yorkshire,during the war. Apologies for the dark photo.

There is an anti-det run of the Nimrod planned for this coming Sunday, 15th December. It means all four engines being run up and will take place between 11.30 and 11.50 in the morning. It's subject to serviceability on the day but should clear the cobwebs before Christmas.
