The world is deeply unkind to women. When violence against women is protected, repeated, or dressed up as culture, it reveals just how much hatred people can carry for women. Sexual assault is evil, every single time.

Sometimes I sit with the reality of how unkind this world is to women, and it breaks my heart. It is one thing for the world to fail women. It is another thing entirely for people to organise cruelty against women and give it a cultural name. That is barbarity! That is evil!
