Most interesting detail in that presser was bystander who saw the guy running, got a picture of his car and thus license plate and that led to the guy's apprehension in something like an hour maximum.

A life long pet resistant human who had allergies now has a kitten in his home. Wish me well.

My wife comes from a "cat family." My family and I were not pet people. I have resisted her requests for cat for nearly 12 years. She then had 3 kids and waited for several years for them to grow into her cat cult chorus. For the past few weeks, it was 4 against 1. I still held out. Today, my kids brought their friends from the neighborhood and it became 8 against 1. A school friend was giving away kittens. They all ganged up on me. Sigh. We have a new kitten.

@iamAtheistGirl I'm comfortable with what I said, but lets put it this way: God has a plan. We can reject his will and deter from it. God adjusts the method to attain the end goal of the plan. You can still be disruptive of what his end goal is and in essence, postpone it.

@shenetworks The heat pump will replace the AC, keep the old furnace. In Texas, you won't need it, but at worst, it would be a couple of days.

So I need to replace my AC unit (and my furnace is ancient) and someone gave me a quote, but wouldn't give me one for a heat pump. Because "It's dumb not to use a gas furnace," I'm pretty sure replacing both the AC and Furnace is double the cost of a heat pump?
