They call them “data centers” because calling them “mass surveillance centers” would cause a national uprising. The government and Big Tech don’t build billion-dollar facilities in the middle of nowhere just to store your family photos. They are building the infrastructure for a surveillance state— one capable of monitoring your speech, mapping your behavior, tracking your movements, analyzing your purchases, harvesting your biometrics, and building a real-time digital profile of your entire life. And they package it all under buzzwords like “AI,” “security,” and “innovation” so the public blindly applauds the expansion of the very system being built to monitor them. WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

The wildest thing about gas prices going from $2.84 to $4.47 in just two months is that Donald Trump is mentioned over 38,000 times in the Epstein Files.

The lack of news on Gaza isn’t because the genocide is over. It’s because Israel slaughtered the journalists and Western media pretends there’s a ceasefire.

Mark Zuckerberg built a MASSIVE data center in Georgia Just hundreds of yards from people’s homes. Water pressure collapsed. Sinks don’t run. Toilets won’t refill. Homes shake nonstop. Power outages are common A billionaire gets his servers — working families get steamrolled.

The reason why that Palestine isn’t being seen anymore is that because Israel has killed Palestinians journalists. 56 Palestinian journalists have been killed. Russia killed 27 in Ukraine. Sudan received drone attacks. Lebanon is getting bombed. Don’t stop talking.

We have appropriately five thousand data centers. Each one uses anywhere between two and five million gallons of water every day. The water tests are coming back stating that the water is extremely contaminated. What are we doing?

I dont understand—once upon a time we had an essentially endless Internet & we did not need these atrocious DataCenters, yet now we supposedly need them when it is obvious Google/Technocrats have limited/censored the Internet to almost nothing. What *extra* Data are they storing?
grist@grist

A proposed data center in California's Imperial Valley would need 750,000 gallons of water a day. Satisfying the thirst of 24 more facilities expected to open in the state will be challenging, experts and officials say. (via @insideclimate) grist.org/drought/califo…
