It’s just my opinion - but it was one shared by union, the NUJ - that these savage cuts to BBC Local Radio need not have happened. The union put forward proposals to provide more local digital output and protect local radio but they were rejected.

I have always refrained from commenting about the BBC Local Radio cuts, apart from in my former role as an NUJ rep. However, I no longer work for the BBC….. I joined the BBC in 1994 with a promise to tell the truth and be unbiased. Now I can tell the truth. (to be continued)

Good morning, Early start today.. I love coming down to the brewery early. A new beer today.. a triple hopped strong IPA 6% ABV. one of the three beers we will be bottle conditioning, it's a bit of a faf but we'll worth the effort, 🤓 👍🍺
