The fireworks in The Sandlot must’ve been less quiet and not as jarring as they are today because I can’t see myself being able to play baseball at night with these bad boys going off as loud as they are.

@knewter It's not that I don't care about how ppl dress. It's that I dislike when ppl link dress to issues like respectability or character. For instance, you don't clip your toenails, which likely results in holes in your socks. But you may still be a very upstanding person.

Unimaginative tropes that I would like to see stop:
-showing a character has tuberculosis by coughing into a hanky and now it’s red. I laugh when it happens at this point
-the Phrygian dominant scale when establishing a scene in the Middle East. Stop it.

I signed a glossy, framed picture of myself as my gift for the white elephant a few years ago and it was NOT appreciated. Was picked last and the person was stuck with it. Not my fault they called it a white elephant and not a gift exchange, which is what they were going for.
