Awards were presented to outstanding artists and technicians for films released in 2025. Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award for his performance in Kantara: Chapter 1, while Ashika Ranganath received the Best Actress award for Gata Vaibhava. The Best Film award for 2025 also went to Kantara: Chapter 1, which secured a total of nine awards. It was a standout moment as “Divine Star” Rishab Shetty bagged three trophies. The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on veteran director Rajendra Singh Babu. A Special Honorary Award was presented to Sukruth Srujan Lokesh, the great-grandson of Subbaiah Naidu, the pioneering hero of Kannada talkie films. The colourful and grand ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting. Chief guests included National Award-winning director Girish Kasaravalli, National Award-winning actress Tara Anuradha, renowned producer Rockline Venkatesh, noted director B. Just watched Dhurandhar and honestly I’m still thinking about it — what an experience! The direction is the biggest win for me. Making a powerful film out of a series of real events is not easy, but the way the story is written and connected feels so natural and engaging. Even though the movie runs for more than 3½ hours, not a single moment felt boring. That itself shows how strong the storytelling and screenplay are. The writing keeps you invested throughout, slowly building emotions and intensity without rushing anything. Every scene feels meaningful and adds depth to the journey. Technically, the film is outstanding: 🎬 The directior @adhityadhar holds everything together beautifully. 🎥 The DOP captures both scale and emotion perfectly — visually stunning frames throughout. ✂️ The editing keeps the flow tight and engaging despite the long runtime. 🎵 @Shashwatsachdev The music and background score elevate every major moment and stay with you even after the film ends. And of course, @RanveerOfficial delivers one of his finest performances. His energy, emotional depth, and screen presence completely carry the film — it genuinely feels like he lived the character rather than acted it. No surprise the film is already a blockbuster hit.
