Humans using AI without understanding or verifying the output reminds me of the old joke:
Motorola: “Hey Pentium, what’s 1+1?”
Pentium: “3!”
Motorola: “That’s incorrect. It’s 2.”
Pentium: “Yeah… but it was fast.”
Feels very current.

Tip for all #Windows users on here:
When you tweet your frustration with something not working properly and detail what you've observed/tried, file a Feedback Hub entry.
Trust me on this one. Even share the FB Hub entry link in a follow up tweet as well. Yes, I know you all hate taking that extra step and Response.Redirect'ing to telemetry, but you're not going to get the full picture+ your side of the deal that way.

This whole thing shows people don't know how to measure perceived performance. Load times aren't measured in FPS, which seems to be what people are interpreting the figure to mean. It's faster than the old one, and modernized. That should be the takeaway here.

if we're misleadingly conflating 2 different perf metrics (time to first frame latency and fps smoothness) then just factor in OS boot time so it's less than 1fps 🙃The reality is the new Run loads faster (94ms) than the existing one (103ms) that nobody has ever moaned about

Hey I love dumping on my company as much as the next guy, because Microsoft does some dumb stuff, but sometimes it's just check emails and verify your accounts.
Not every "WTF micro$oft" moment is a slam dunk. I've emailed VeraCrypt personally and we'll get him unblocked. I've already talked to Jason at WireGuard.
Not everything is a conspiracy, sometimes it's literally paperwork.

Just Microsoft things... Recently they terminated the VeraCrypt developer's Microsoft account. VeraCrypt is a free and open-source disk encryption software that performs on-the-fly encryption (OTFE) to create virtual encrypted disks, encrypt partitions, or secure entire storage devices.
