We’re moving out of our lovely home in Cooke Town 🥲 and there’s a bunch of things we’re selling in the process. Please get in touch with me or Divya if you’re interested :)

Hi folks! I’m moving out of my lovely apartment in Bangalore and I’m selling a bunch of stuff 🛋️🪴 📍Pickup location: Cooke Town, BLR kindly go through the link here: figma.com/deck/BsKu5jE6h… DM/comment for enquiries!
English

@AnomalistG Agreed. Just that the speed at which this stuff is going, we need voices in the opposition to ensure it doesn’t turn into car-centric hellscape full of useless shit like boring company tunnels getting in the way of equitable progress that actually helps people.
English

@soorajchandran_ @cursor_ai Been doing the same with v0. Really enjoy directly working on prototypes during the exploration phase itself.
English

It’s easier for me to get a UI mockup by asking @cursor_ai to generate HTML and CSS than opening Figma. I didn’t expect that.
Cursor was built for coding. But now I find myself using it for something it was never designed to do: mocking up designs. It works.

@OuppiestGirl @_Redriel @pepperfrom2b18 @enbiegone @katiopolis And to answer your question, AI-assisted work+checking sources takes me MUCH lesser time than before.
English

@OuppiestGirl @_Redriel @pepperfrom2b18 @enbiegone @katiopolis I don’t work in academia. I work in product design and I need to regularly learn about different industries and processes which are far too specific. So I feed GPT relevant PDFs and other online sources and it helps me find useful insights from it.
English

@_Redriel @pepperfrom2b18 @enbiegone @katiopolis Agreed! That’s why I don’t fully rely on AI. I try and use it make as much progress as I can, and then try and take it to an expert. People I’ve worked with have appreciated the fact that I’m coming to them with more than a just a basic question. Even if I’m quite off at times :)
English

@AkhillesTook @pepperfrom2b18 @enbiegone @katiopolis Except you’re neglecting the amount of maintenance, flexibility and willingness that those smart and friendly people provide.
You can’t just msg these people and expect an instant and source-backed answer, unlike AI.
Also, you can’t challenge it without offending it.
English

@pepperfrom2b18 @enbiegone @katiopolis I don’t speak for everyone, of course. But time and access are expensive resources. Would I replace using ChatGPT with working with unlimited time and budget in a beautiful well-equipped library with smart friendly people who talk me through confusing problems? Yes. Yes, I would.
English

@pepperfrom2b18 @enbiegone @katiopolis Yeah I 100% prefer talking to and learning from other people who know things, can communicate well and have the time. My absolute favourite way of working and I do it as often as I can. But my work (like most) can’t afford to give me that all the time. So AI for when I can’t :)
English

@enbiegone @katiopolis I like to think through talking. So it helps me organize my thoughts, information, data, etc by talking to it rather than writing things down. Others may find it useful for different reasons and different contexts. And it’s okay if it’s not useful to you in the same way.
English

@katiopolis It seriously seems like it is for people who genuinely hate to think or create

Thankfully I’ve stopped using Spotify and only use Music these days, so I can’t be insulted insulted in this way by the app
