Show TV's ambitious new series, Veliaht, by the production company Faro, is set to premiere in September. The series, distinguished by its unique storyline and stellar cast, has already garnered significant acclaim with its recently released trailer and teaser poster. Set at the Esenler Bus Terminal, Veliaht explores family power struggles and a grand love story. Name change! Akin’s new series has had a name change. The series which had originally been named Halef is now called Veliaht (Crown Prince). The series to premier on Show TV in September. Here’s the first trailer.

Halef (Heir), Akın Akınözü's new project is set to air on Show TV in the 2025-2026 season. The series is produced by Faro Company, known for Çukur (The Pit) and directed by Sinan Öztürk, with a script by Berrin Tekdemir, Necip Güleçer, and Tunahan Kurt. The series centers on the Karslı family, who dominate the Esenler bus terminal, and explores themes of power struggles, intrigue, and family dynamics. It is anticipated to be a high-stakes drama drawing comparisons to Çukur due to the production team and thematic elements. The confirmed cast includes Akın Akınözü as Timur, Serra Arıtürk as Reyhan (his on-screen partner), Ercan Kesal as Zülfikar, Derya Karadaş as Kudret, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil as Yahya, and Burak Altay as Recep, Yahya’s right-hand man. Additional cast members announced include Kayhan Açıkgöz as Ceset, Sabahattin Yakut as Sabri, Selin Kosuoğlu as Nasrin, Dilara Yılmaz as Cennet, Volkan Karan as Medeni, and Selin Domlugöl as Güldendam, Bora Akkaş as Zafer Karslı among others. The series is to be filmed in Şanlıurfa, Turkey, with production expected to start in July 2025. According to Birsen Altuntas, planning for the series Halef is back and this time for Show TV. If all goes well, the series is to begin filming in March for an April release. As it currently stands, Ercan Kesal will play the leader of the Karslı family, “Zaro Karslı ”. Before the project was postponed last month , an agreement in principle was reached with Akın Akınözü for the role of "Timur" and Devrim Özkan for the role of  “Reyhan” . The new cast of the series will be clear in the coming days.

Halef, the series with Akın Akınözü, Devrim Özkan and Ercan Kesal has been shelved for now...
