@NonLeagueMaps @opearman @Ollie_Bayliss Was anyone aware this was going to happen? I coach an academy due to play under a step 6 team name and it’s caught us unaware. And with the deadline for applications well and truly gone - it leaves us with having kids that will never have the chance to play in the FAYC.

@opearman @Akrofi11 @Ollie_Bayliss It'd be great for Step 6 to enter, but with the expansion at Step 5 and above, there are more clubs entering than before. An easy change would be to get rid of the 48 Step 4 exemptions and allow the top 48 Step 6 clubs to enter.

The FA has published a list of teams in this season's FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Vase & FA Youth Cup. They include details of which round clubs will enter. The draw for the first two rounds will be published next Friday 4th July. thefa.com/news/2025/jun/…
