@seiranaino I think if you're unsure you can try putting them on discount for a limited time. I made an emergency comms discount a while ago but learned from it that even lowering my prices for those by 50% didn't give me much more sales. I just had friends comm me again 🤷

I also like to inform clients if anything out of schedule or big suddenly comes up like a family celebration you have to go to, emergencies, anything that could potentially throw the schedule off even if it might not make a difference in delivery time in the end

I think some people have had negative experiences with VGen, but part of that is because many times they don’t really read how things are described, including the terms and conditions. In my case, I always make my delivery times clear, ranging from one to four weeks depending on what is chosen. It doesn’t actually take me that long — for example, if you request a fully rendered piece with a complex background, I won’t take four weeks to finish it. I just add extra time in case I get sick, have an accident, or some kind of emergency comes up. I’m a human being, and those things can happen. Even so, I’m someone who communicates very consistently because it’s really important to me that the person choosing me receives something they genuinely like. That’s why I often ask questions that come up while I’m drawing.

It’s wild what blows up on this app anymore ;-; but yeah vgen and artists have been a whirl wind for me lately. And it’s not even that the art is bad. It’s that there’s all these hidden fees, and the wait time is INSANE. It’s even worse when they don’t communicate at all.

@mochipupvt @Awkquido There are new statistics on vgen that artists can choose to make public. The thing with the highest percentage is shown first, but overall you can click on it and see the completion and on time delivery percentage from all the comms that have been done in the last 12months

@Awkquido i think they do get limited when they have too many pending but that doesn’t stop them from trying to market their comms on other platforms 😔

are vgen deadlines a suggestion or what bc why have there been so many instances of things not being delivered by the deadline the artist set themselves

@EnvoiVT I had a friend who just streamed as a vtuber normally. If I saw correctly she only got her actual model matching her design recently to her birthday and then she did the 'debut stream' in a sort of way. So technically you are a vtuber already imo

So while I'm planning big overhauls and model ideas, I was wondering if the whole pre debut thing makes sense anymore. Like I am streaming regularly, am I not just a Vtuber now? What do you guys think? Drop the pre debut thing and behave like i already did or nah?

@mrumue It's fine to nit feel confident in your skills at times and take breaks. I think when you think your art is 'bad' it's a sign that your eye has been visually trained in a higher level that your other skills didn't catch up to yet. If it helps, treat your art as an experiment!

how do you keep confident on your art other than comparing your old art to your new ones?

@dccxx_kina @CoraHisa I'd understand if they price it in their country's currency for the ppl in the same country but use higher global prices. Reasons for that would be that their currency is so low that demanding high prices from the ppl in their country is just not possible due to living costs

@CoraHisa Id be fine w this since i also live in a third world country but some artist on tt price their comm in their country's currency so low like the one i saw is 0.76 cents (usd to put into perspective) for a fully rendered illustrations , you can't even buy anything w that money 😭💔

How much I made from comissions this year (basically since I started lol): Jan: 75€ Feb: 30€ March: 35€ April: 323€ May: 20€ for now~ Total: 483€ in 4 and a half months, without counting taxes btw! It is not a lot but I am really happy people actually pay for my art, ty!!
