I need some education. I know that to work in the lab you’re required to be under Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). At the 37MH we don’t have laboratory physicians, only lab doctors like myself, so I’m trying to understand this: If by law you can’t work in the lab without an AHPC pin, how are lab physicians operating? Are they also forfeiting their MDC accreditation in order to be under AHPC? Is this just a Korle Bu thing or places like KATH also run like this? Are they exempt, or are we ignoring the licensing requirements? I need some clarification.

@oliveKubmite Today in Ortho clinic, one of the Pts told the Conso that d pharmacist refused to give him the tb drugs he prescribed last week bcos he believed the patient wasn't having TB cos there was no sign of Cough. The Conso had to educate him about other forms of TBs.

Yeap, this is why actual clinical pathophysiology should be taught to all medical disciplines The only reason you think think this is a lot is because they're paying out of pocket & not insurance covered. The average patient has multiple comorbidities that are underinvestigated

@Chimdirimmmah @DennisGodsmark That's what I am telling saying. Rule of 2 is not a routine examination in radiology. It works with specific pathology and cases. As the doctor has justified the specific pathology in question which meets rule of 2's, that is just it .
