A big step for Uganda’s clean energy transition 🍃 The Embassy of Sweden in Kampala joined SNV as they awarded grants to six companies under the USD 11.8M IMEU II project—expanding access to energy‑efficient tech across the country. IMEU II will support 55,000 households and 150 businesses, building on Phase I’s strong results in energy access, skills training and private‑sector growth. Congrats to the six grantees: Akvo International, Arem Clean Energy Solutions, Gage Investments, UgaStove, Energy Monitoring Ltd and Up Energy. Sweden reaffirmed its commitment to climate‑resilient development, while SNV highlighted this milestone for Uganda’s private sector. The project will reach communities across 36 districts nationwide. @Akvointltd is proud to partner with @UECCC1 under the Results-Based Financing Program of the Electricity Access Scale-Up Project. Through this, we are helping households & institutions access affordable clean energy solutions including solar water pumping and solar lighting.

The Results-Based Financing (RBF) program, implemented by UECCC under the Electricity Access Scale-up Project, is significantly expanding access to clean energy solutions across Uganda. In this video, MD Roy Nyamutale Baguma @rbaguma608, provides a comprehensive overview of how the initiative is breaking down financial barriers to ensure Ugandans can access affordable, modern energy. Through this program, households, farmers, and institutions are acquiring life-changing technologies including solar lighting systems, solar irrigation pumps and clean cooking solutions at significantly reduced costs.
