This school doesn’t even look like the kind of primary schools we’re used to seeing in Nigeria. These are standards we barely see here, yet he brought it home and funded everything entirely from his own pocket. I remember him showing me the progress videos on his phone and I was genuinely amazed, but I still didn’t expect it to turn out this beautiful. Then again, knowing Dan Bello, I knew anything he puts his hands into would definitely be exceptional. This is truly inspiring and I pray Allah continues to bless him with the strength, resources and ability to do even more. Rewards like this go beyond this world. May Allah reward him abundantly.

In Abuja a couple of years ago, was having a meeting with a young man in his early 30s. He casually complained to me how a house he bought for N700m did not meet the standard he expected. Nepo son of a popular Kano family. Me that came to the meeting as CEO of a property company, did not have a house that is worth that amount. I felt I hadn't achieved anything in life 😀 What do you mean you own a N700m house this man 😀

Joy and pride have been expressed following the presentation of a young girl named Ikezu Chizaram Aisha, who is said to be the first Muslim girl born in Achi town, located in the Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State. Aisha is among the children striving to memorize the Holy Qur'an, dedicating her time to learning and memorizing the words of Allah (SWT). The Muslim community has prayed for Allah to raise more children like her in the region and to make her beneficial to the religion of Islam and society at large.

Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
Press Release: Our father, Mallam Nasir @elrufai, is still being held by the ICPC. Today, 15 May 2026, we witnessed two distinct yet equally serious attacks on his basic rights. First, his personal Doctor visited the ICPC at about 3pm to discuss the results of medical tests recently conducted on our father. Officials at the agency blocked the doctor from seeing him, claiming that written permission from the ICPC Chairman was required. This directly flouts a clear court order granting Mallam Nasir El‑Rufai unrestricted access to his doctors. Second, his wife, Aunty Aichatou, brought his evening meal at around 7pm as she normally does. ICPC personnel turned her away, saying they had orders not to permit food deliveries after 6:30pm. This arbitrary rule is no less offensive than blocking his right to medical care. These acts are an outright assault on the rule of law and a clear violation of our father's constitutional and human rights. No lawful detention justifies denying medical access or refusing basic family care based on an arbitrary curfew fixed by the ICPC. Shame on them as an institution. We demand that all his constitutional rights be fully respected. We will no longer accept this pattern of intimidation dressed up as protocol. The ICPC must abide by the very laws it claims to enforce. Signed Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Member. Kaduna North Federal Constituency Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations. May 15, 2026.

This guy who sells pure water in my area has his own unique business strategy 😭 Sometimes, he just shows up at the compound and starts knocking like someone who came to collect debt. Who is in the house? he says, “Madam, I brought water for you.” You will  reply, “But I didn’t order water.” Then he calmly says, “Ah sorry oh, maybe it was your neighbor.” At that point, you are contemplating whether to buy or not 😂 Before you even realize what’s happening, you will find yourself saying, “Okay, just give me four bags or more.” Done deal 🤝 One day, I found out we actually speak the same language, so while we were talking, I decided to ask him about his little strategy. That was when he opened up. He said anytime sales are slow, he doesn’t sit around waiting for customers to call. Instead, he goes to them, even when they didn’t ask him to come. And somehow, by the end of the conversation, they almost always buy. That man taught me something without even trying,  sometimes, business is not just about waiting for demand, it’s about showing up and creating it. Business people really have levels 😭 😂 Have you ever bought something you didn’t plan to buy because the seller came to you? Is waiting for customers a bad business strategy in today’s world?

There's one guy in my area people think is a Yahoo boy. He's always in nice clothes, has a sleek Lexus car, and always at home. No office to go, and no visible business. To make things worse, the guy hardly talks to anybody. If you greet him, he'll just smile or nod his head and pass. So people have a lot of opinions about him. “Poud boy.” “He's definitely into fraud.” “He go dey just dey go. He no go greet anybody.” “No legit work fit make person dey house like that.” The backbiting on the street was just constant. The funny thing is, the guy is not even a Yahoo boy, and he's also not an arrogant person at all. I know this because I'm a little close to him. He's just naturally shy and awkward around people; so he always prefers to just go his own way gently. He's also working remotely for foreign companies, so he earns in dollars. One thing I've observed in life is that people backbite too much over things they don't understand.

Selling cement is such a humbling business. My father owns a cement shop, and one of his regular prayer points was: “God abeg, send customers. Make this thing no spoil for my hand.” 😂 One day, a distributor sent 250 bags of cement to him. As usual, it was a "take now, pay after selling" arrangement. But this batch stayed in the shop for too long. He managed to sell about 100 bags, but the remaining 150 just sat there like nobody wanted cement again. Then one day, he opened the shop and discovered the cement had started caking, even though it wasn’t placed directly on the ground. He was heartbroken. But instead of letting it waste, he bought truckloads of sand and hired workers to mold blocks with everything left. In fact, the entire shop was cleared just to avoid loss. Later, the distributor called for payment, and my dad had to withdraw money from his other business to settle the debt. After that experience, he said he was done selling cement. He was just waiting for his shop rent to expire so he could shut everything down. Then something unexpected happened. During that same period, one of his old friends came to our house, saw the blocks outside, and asked if my dad wanted to sell them. My dad said yes and just like that, he sold everything. Then the man asked if there was still cement in the shop. My father instantly said a quick: *“Yes” 😂😂😂 That “yes” was very fast for someone who had locked his shop for over two weeks. To my surprise, that night my dad didn’t let the cement distributor rest. He kept calling and shouting on the phone, begging him to make sure the truck arrived at his shop the next morning 😂😂 Anybody who says running a business is easy is lying. Have you ever abandoned a business in a slow season, and later resumed it when opportunity showed up?

I was working as a contract staff in a bank. One day, I went to the head office of a manufacturing firm to submit my CV. I was told they weren't accepting CVs. On my way back downstairs, I met a woman and told her I was looking for a job. She told me they weren't recruiting. I pleaded with her to take my CV and submit when they are recruiting. She later accepted. I forgot about it. Few months later, I received a text from the company inviting me for an interview. I passed and was offered a job. The salary was a 100 percent increase from my job as a contract staff. I also get to enjoy other benefits as a staff. When I went to pick my appointment letter, I looked for the woman and couldn't find her. I Didn't even know her name. I say a prayer everytime I remember her. That job helped me and upper my finances. Referrals still remain one of the best ways to get a job! It's my number one option whenever I wish to change jobs..
