Today I had the great honour of presenting my credentials, as Ambassador of Albania, to HM King Charles III. We had a warm chat about our alliance, our shared values, and mutual admiration. His Majesty is very keen on visiting Albania. Long live the King! Long Live Albania!

I was pleased to attend the screening of The EUkrainian, organized at #EuropaHouse by the Embassy of Sweden in Tirana @SwedeninAL. A powerful story of resolve, courage, and resilience — but also a deeply human account of sustained efforts to bring #Ukraine closer to the EU, with the goal of membership. It served as yet another reminder of why continued and unwavering support for Ukraine matters, a commitment #Albania fully upholds, but also, at the same time, why EU #enlargement is not merely a policy, but a strategic imperative for peace, security, and a stronger #Europe. 🇦🇱🇪🇺🇺🇦

Remembering the victims of the terrorist attacks in Belgium 10 years ago. A day that left a deep scar, but also showed the strength, unity, and resilience of the Belgian people. Our thoughts remain with the families and all those affected. Together, we stand against hatred and violence, and for the values that unite us. 🇦🇱🇧🇪

Rikonfirmuam marrëdhënien tonë vëllazërore, lidhjen e veçantë e të patjetërsueshme mes dy vendeve tona, dhe ritheksova se #Kosova mbetet një prioritet i përhershem e i padiskutueshëm i politikës sonë të jashtme. Ndamë angazhim për thellimin e mëtejshëm të #partneritetit strategjik dhe forcimin e bashkëpunimit në të gjitha fushat me interes të ndërsjellë. Vlerësova zhvillimet e fundit, përfshirë heqjen e masave kufizuese nga Bashkimi Evropian si një hap të rëndësishëm që krijon një moment të ri e shumë premtues në marrëdhëniet Kosovë–BE, me bindjen se ky zhvillim do të pasohet nga hapa të tjerë pozitivë në rrugën evropiane të Kosovës, përfshirë marrjen e statusit të vendit kandidat. U dakorduam mbi nevojën për riaktivizimin e mekanizmave të përbashkët institucionalë dhe për avancimin e projekteve madhore me interes kombëtar, si dhe për forcimin e bashkëpunimit në fusha kyçe si ekonomia, infrastruktura, arsimi, kultura, siguria dhe diplomacia. E sigurova z. Konjufca për mbështetjen tonë të palëkundur në forcimin e subjektivitetit ndërkombëtar të Kosovës, si për sa i përket zgjerimit të gjeografisë së njohjes, anëtarësimin në organizatat ndërkombëtare, ashtu edhe për përparimin e proceseve të saj integruese evropiane dhe euroatlantike. #Shqipëria mbetet e palëkundur në mbështetjen e saj për Kosovën, sot dhe gjithmonë. Në këtë frymë, rikonfirmova gatishmërinë time dhe të Ministrisë për një bashkëpunim dhe koordinim të ngushtë në funksion të avancimit të objektivave të përbashkëta. #Shqipëria 🇦🇱dhe #Kosova 🇽🇰do të vijojnë të qëndrojnë krah për krah, me një vizion të përbashkët për të kontribuar në forcimin e mëtejshëm të së ardhmes evropiane dhe euroatlantike të rajonit.

First useful and productive call with my Croatian counterpart, Gordan Grlić-Radman @grlicradman, reaffirming the excellent relations and strong strategic partnership between #Albania 🇦🇱and #Croatia 🇭🇷 We underscored the importance of further deepening bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including the economy, energy, defence, and tourism. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing connectivity and energy security through major regional projects such as the Adriatic-Ionian Corridor, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline and its Ionian–Adriatic Pipeline extension, as well as the Three Seas Initiative — key drivers of growth and resilience in #SoutheastEurope. We also exchanged views on regional security and cooperation, underlining our shared responsibility as #NATO Allies to contribute to peace, stability, and collective defence. As close partners, we remain firmly committed to advancing security, stability, and a shared #European future for the region. I expressed our gratitude for Croatia’s consistent support for #Albania’s EU accession and invited him to visit Albania soon. 🇦🇱🤝🇭🇷

Bonne Journée internationale de la Francophonie ici en Albanie et à travers le monde. L’usage du français ainsi que les multiples facettes de la tradition francophone dans notre pays témoignent de notre profond attachement à la diversité culturelle, à l’ouverture à l’autre plutôt qu’au repli sur soi, ainsi qu’au plurilinguisme. L’esprit de la Francophonie fait partie intégrante de notre histoire et de notre patrimoine culturel et intellectuel, nourrissant notre littérature, notre pratique de la langue française et les principes de notre politique étrangère. Faisons en sorte que la Francophonie, ainsi que les valeurs qu’elle porte, contribuent à bâtir un monde meilleur, fondé sur le dialogue et riche en opportunités pour tous, en particulier pour notre jeunesse.

Great exchange of views in Madrid with @CharlesTpowell and the experts at the Elcano Royal Institute @rielcano 🇦🇱🇪🇸. We took a deep dive into EU enlargement in the #WesternBalkans as a strategic necessity, and discussed the complex challenges currently facing both the #EU and #NATO. We also shared perspectives on the evolving situations in Ukraine and the Middle East. Valuable insights contributing to a safer, stronger, and more integrated #Europe.

🇦🇱🇪🇸 Any meaningful conversation about #Europe must involve the #youth. I had a truly substantive, energetic, and inspiring exchange with students from #Universidad Carlos III of Madrid @uc3m, whose curiosity, critical thinking, and engagement highlight the vital role young people play in shaping #Europe’s future. Dialogue with youth is not only enriching—it is essential. Their questions, ideas, and expectations challenge us to do better, to lead with integrity, and to ensure that the #European project remains dynamic, inclusive, and forward-looking. I was pleased to address their thoughtful questions on #Albania’s journey through reforms, good governance, and the strengthening of the rule of law, transformative processes that continue to bring our country closer to the European Union. I was particularly impressed by their strong interest in EU #enlargement—an imperative for Albania, but also a clear strategic investment for the Union itself. I underscored the central place EU issues hold in our daily political life and our ongoing modernization drive, firmly anchoring our future within the European family to which we naturally belong. It is encouraging to share with this young generation the conviction that, in these complex and uncertain times, the EU 🇪🇺 must continue to demonstrate unity, cohesion, and vision.

🇦🇱🇪🇸 Honored to visit the Senat of Spain @senadoesp and meet with First Deputy Speaker @JavierMaroto, the Chair of the Commission for External Affairs @PilarRojoN and members of the Senate in Madrid. We held substantive discussions on the EU #enlargement process and #Albania’s negotiating path, reaffirming a shared commitment to a credible and merit-based accession process. I expressed appreciation for #Spain’s consistent support, while also exchanging views on transatlantic relations and the growing importance of parliamentary diplomacy. 🤝

We welcome the decision to finally lift all EU measures against #Kosova. This step was long overdue and confirms Kosova’s commitment to #European values, the rule of law, and constructive regional cooperation. Today’s decision opens the way for full and unimpeded access to EU funds, assistance and overall cooperation. It helps rebuild trust, and reinforces the credibility of the EU integration process. Advancing Kosova’s European path—including by examining without delay its application for EU #candidate status, will contribute to a more stable and secure region. It will also reconfirm and reinforce the European perspective of all #WesternBalkan countries.

Muchas gracias por la cálida bienvenida y la generosa hospitalidad. 🤝 As we mark the 40th #anniversary of the re-establishment of our bilateral relations, we reaffirmed that our political, economic, and cultural cooperation continue to serve as strong pillars of an enduring partnership. We also agreed that there is significant untapped potential in our relations, which we are committed to advancing—particularly in trade, tourism, sustainable energy, and other areas of mutual interest and benefit. Our discussions also highlighted the importance we both attach to effective #multilateralism and close coordination in international fora, as we work together to address shared global challenges and promote peace, stability, and sustainable development. I expressed our sincere gratitude to #Spain for its steadfast and continued support of Albania’s EU integration process, and reaffirmed our strong commitment to advancing reforms on our path toward European Union membership.

At #CEI FMs, the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs @MegiFi underscored the urgency of strengthening regional cooperation and accelerating #WB integration into the EU. CEI remains a vital platform for dialogue, stability, and growth. Albania firmly condemns Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and fully supports all CEI efforts to assist the Ukrainian people. Our solidarity is steadfast and unwavering. With all EU negotiation chapters opened and first Growth Plan disbursements secured, Albania is advancing with determination—aiming to conclude negotiations by 2027 and achieve EU membership by 2030. #Reform #EUintegration

I expressed my appreciation for Spain’s consistent support for Albania’s #EU accession process. We also discussed my visit to Spain next week, which will further deepen our bilateral cooperation and bring our countries even closer. We welcome Kosova - EU coordination on the Law on Foreigners. Dismantling parallel structures is hard work. The EU should match that courage and lift punitive measures, move on Kosova's membership application. A Western Balkans fully inside the EU is not charity. It is Europe's own strategic victory.
