If you asked most Aston Villa fans pre Emi Martinez, who our best goalkeeper of all-time was, I feel that Mark Bosnich would be the most popular answer.
For context, I was born a few weeks after @TheRealBozza left the club.
For those who’ve seen both, who was best? 🤔 #avfc
Villans
Only one Villa team have broken the glass ceiling in our European history, we know their names, immortal in the history of our great club.
Many of us have tried and failed to to bring a magical European trophy back to Villa Park.
I remember that night against Atletico Madrid, glorious failure on the night. I've never heard Villa Park so loud. The Holte lead the way, and young Villans in K3, K4, K5, you have the chance to do something special and louder. You can and you must.
Make this grand old stadium stand for 90 minutes and never relent for one damn second.
But the Holte End is one fourth of the jigsaw.
Trinity. We need you.
North. We need you.
Witton (sorry Doug). We need you.
Bayern Munich. Beaten.
PSG. Beaten.
Atletico Madrid. Beaten.
Anderlecht. Beaten.
Athletic Bilbao. Beaten.
Barcelona. Beaten.
Inter Milan. Beaten.
Ajax. Beaten.
Celtic. Beaten.
A handful of clubs have those scalps.
The special sauce in every win? You, Villans. YOU.
Every one of those wins, the noise rivaled anywhere at any time.
We face admirable foe and a special football club that I know very well. A club who believed in miracles and miracles came true for them.
Our players need our voices, our songs, our heart and soul on Thursday. Every stand. Every Villan, old or young.
Remember when you walked into Villa Park for the first time? The joy, the tears, the pride, holding the hand of your Mom or Dad or excitedly shephereded in by your big brother or sister or best mate?
Let the memory of them be your guide tomorrow night.
Sing for Spinksy, Birchy, Alan McInally, for Gary Shaw, for Brian Little, for Paul McGrath and for John McGinn.
To the players and staff, we know how good you are, and we ALL want you to walk into the pantheon of greats that adorn our halls.
As someone once said..
"The lows just make the highs higher. We are at the heart of English football, we have a majestic name, a decorated past, we serve as a shining light among our peers, we are Aston Villa ".
I believe.
We believe.
Villa believes.
UP THE FUCKING EUROPEAN VILLA!!!!
FT 1-0
Lots of huff and puff as you'd expect as 2 teams go to the well at the end of the season.
Forest all graft and energy will fancy going to Villa Park and getting the needed result after a hard working and gritty display.
Villa woeful in attacking positions. Biggest Watkins fan but his hold up play is poor, if you can't hold it up then there's no platform to build.
Buendia a liability, shouldn't be anywhere the team, he literally gives it away under no pressure 90% of the time.
Rogers hype train isn't cashing the cheques he thinks he has and in Bogarde a player who's a Disasi in the making if Onana doesn't make the next leg.
Konsa best half ( second half) for a while but Digne, a senior in the squad having both arms up is criminal and perhaps telling about this Villa team, technically talented but question marks about fine details. Corners an example. A team ( bear in mind Villa have a set piece guru) who's attacking corners look made up on the hoof. Fine details.
Forest weren't at full strength, Villa were and still didn't really lay a glove on them.

He has scored more goals for #AVFC than any other player in the last 66 years .
So , Villa fans , is Ollie Watkins the best striker you’ve seen at the club ?
If not …..who is ?
@talkSPORT Frustrating that Stuart Pearce goes in hard (and rightly so) on England now that pal Southgate has departed. In my view always was a biased non-critical opinion when Gareth was boss.
Jordan Pickford has conceded his first goal for England in 536 DAYS! 🏴❌
Kaoru Mitoma's strike for Japan is the first time the Three Lions have conceded in back-to-back games under Thomas Tuchel. 😬
