How I got hired as a graphic designer at Dripstar Luxury Store. The owner reached out via IG. He wanted a single design. But honestly, I don’t like selling design like it’s a product. You know when client pays, you design and then that’s it. There’s no business in there. So I started engaging him in a longer conversation. Any business owner that wants result will always give you a listening ear. And so at the end of our conversation, he has seen that the use of design for his business isn’t something he does one off whenever he wants to make announcements. It’s branding. It’s shaping perfection. He would later ask that I join his team, ask that we build this together. Now we are talking everything media (static and videos), does he need a team or not? And his customers are gradually beginning to recognize his promotional materials. Which I’m sure will start converting sales in a short time. Result sold✅ Not design.
