@simsimmaaz Hardly surprising for an American, but she didn't have to be dismissive and pretentious about it

@Goothr3nMusic @alfietrohn @uwukko What shitty scams, it's all opt in and open source. And if you do decide to turn on the ads for some reason, the only way you could earn anything is by having an online following or a monetized YouTube channel at the very least.

@alfietrohn @uwukko Generally, no. In the case of Brave... yes. Absolutely yes. If they would've been upfront about it from the start and they wouldn't bundle all the tech bro crap into it, I could have a different opinion, but since they did all their shitty scams through the years, let 🦁 burn!

@HeinzArts @THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 How are they trying to become Google while open sourcing everything and anonymizing user data? They've been at it for a decade anyway, Google has made a mockery of Android after a decade, not to mention their search engine. And ads are opt-in, it's not really an issue.

@AlanNicholsonYJ @THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 It's not about the ads themselves, it's about the fact that advertising is only effective when supplemented with user data. The reason Google is the biggest advertising company out there is because they have hella access to user data. Brave is just trying to become google 2

@HeinzArts @THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 Is the average user coming from Ford or Booking.com? I don't think so. This isn't aimed at you and me. It's opt-in and open source anyway, so the ads aren't malicious even if you for some reason decide to turn them on.

@Peppymintyy @THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 What the fuck are you saying? Yeah, Brendan Eich sucks, there are no ads and no it doesn't sell your data. github.com/brave Makes sense they'd open source everything they've ever developed, that's how Google and other companies do it with their ad systems, right?

@ohaewonbear @THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 But why would you care about that? It's all open source, opt-in and not malicious. Even if you opt-in you can't really earn anything if you don't already have an online following or a monetized YouTube channel for example.

@THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 Yeah I mean that's fair. Thought about bringing up their privacy and crypto related stuff instead, but figured people would care even less about that lol.

@THEEMFNG @dsxf234161 A privacy focused browser owned by an advertising company is like buying health insurance from a pack of hungry lions.

@graveair What the fuck are you people saying? It's as if this is Melania's documentary or something and this hasn't even had a premier screening yet, it's just a trailer. But you've all decided it's the worst movie ever made period.

Leftist Linux Distributions are more likely to embrace Age Verification. Non-Political or Right-Leaning Linux Distros are more likely (almost certain) to reject Age Verification. That appears to be predominantly true. For example: Fedora, Debian, & elementary OS all have extreme Leftist politics... and all are embracing, planning for, or facilitating Age Verification. Omarchy, Devuan, & OpenMandriva are all decidedly "Non-Woke" from a political perspective... and all are rejecting Age Verification (in some way). github.com/BryanLunduke/D… github.com/BryanLunduke/S…

@djberg96 @LundukeJournal The left is about conformity... Man, I'd love your brain to not worry about a single fucking thing if this is what you believe as a conservative.

@LundukeJournal It's not that strange. The left is about collectivism, conformity, uniformity, and government control. They were happy to oblige.

@djberg96 @LundukeJournal And in your mind the solution for middle eastern countries which don't support LGBT rights is to genocide them nevertheless? You hate LGBT people as well I suppose, so what's it to you? Which leftists support fucking Bill Gates? No, Jimmy Dore and Gavin Newsom are not leftists.

@AlanNicholsonYJ @LundukeJournal "The exact opposite of leftists." - There is no "opposite" for the Left, they have become morally incoherent. They'll claim to support gay rights while waving Hamas flags for fuck's sake, all while espousing whatever the billionaire Bill Gates has to say.

35 million UK iPhone users now have to provide a credit card or ID just to use their phone normally. The recent update mentioned new emojis & updates to Apple Music, only for users to be confronted with an Age Verification screen. Apple said UK law requires this. It doesn't.
