It's a time of year in Maine where you win some and you lose some. Wednesday will be a win FWIW.

After a pair of 80° Days Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures trend cooler in Maine heading toward the weekend. The low point looks to be on Saturday, when highs may stay in the middle 50s. This looks to come with some rain, too.

Nice day tee'd up across Maine, Friday. Winds will be pretty light and should have much of a impact on the course. You'll probably want an extra layer if you're teeing off before 9a or so. Aim square, not there!

Lows dip into the 30s/low 40s pre-dawn, FRI. Frost advisories & a freeze warning are in effect in the north and higher terrain. Patchy frost could spread inland and maybe into a few coastal locations too, if winds really go calm. Best to protect sensitive veg. if already planted.

MAY 21 Drought Update | Beneficial Spring rains have led to big improvements in Maine's drought, although we aren't out of it just yet. Of note, three months ago, over half of the state was in 'severe' drought. That number is down to 2% with this update.

NOAA released its 2026 hurricane season outlook today and it is skewed toward a below average season. Primary reason is the expectation of a strong El Niño this summer. El Niño tends to increase wind shear, leading to less activity.
