The latest round of blasting this week delivered 1.5m of advance, bringing total advance on Level 5 to 12.4m. Several of the images also show the geology now exposed at the face, including quartz vein-rich zones against darker host rock. Spectral scanning and hyperspectral imaging are becoming genuinely useful tools in rare earth exploration. That is because some rare earth minerals carry distinctive spectral signatures. Neodymium, in particular, has some of the clearest absorption features, which is why it is often used as a pathfinder for broader rare earth mineralisation. @brighouserecord Thanks for the question. We encountered fractured ground on the last round of drilling. After blasting, the new face appears less fractured and more stable, which should be a positive for the next round of drilling and blasting.

Last Friday at Clogau, the team completed another controlled drill-and-blast cycle at Level 5. The round delivered an advance of approximately 1.1 metres, with ground conditions appearing to improve following the blast, which is a positive for the next round of drilling and blasting. Work continues with the usual disciplined sequence of ventilation and checks, inspection, and preparation for the next cycle, as the Level 5 development progresses.
