Joined SNP in 70's as a young nationalist for Indy, I worked and campaigned with many others, after 79 it was disastrous for SNP we rebuilt for the sole belief was Indy, then came Sturgeon, Humza and Swinney who've systemically destroyed SNP, i can now longer cast a vote for SNP

@BillDunblane Actually, Peter is spot on.....Nobody is offering a route to Independence, they're all just using it as a potential destination someday.

Peter A Bell's blog today is a load of shite! He has become an increasingly bitter man because nobody would accept his ideas despite his promotion of them constantly for several years. So all he can do is criticise everyone else. And I mean everyone. He has no interest in independence, only Peter A Bell.

Scotland is not a "quasi" colony. As the treaty was never given effect we are not in a partnership. (Without an operative partnership agreement/treaty there's no voluntary union.) That leaves colony as the only other possible status. Treaty says it is to create a single kingdom. One kingdom requires one crown - a technical, legal and conditional requirement because a kingdom is the territorial jurisdiction of a crown. Scotland was put under the English Crown when the English Coronation Oath was 'extended to Scotland'. This did not extinguish the Scottish Crown despite no English monarch taking the Scottish Coronation Oath (required by statute), after 1707. This is important: no joint 'British Crown' was ever created. This means there are two kingdoms not a 'single kingdom'. The treaty has was never put into effect. (England intended to give up its lovely feudal state - based its lovely feudal Crown from 1066? Not a chance.) We know the 'new state' was just England - Scotland dismantled as a state and England continuing without alteration. We know every condition precedent and continua and every article of the treaty has been discarded and violated. Therefore there is no treaty in effect. Ratified, yes. Implemented no. The treaty was never intended to go into effect. It was cover for an annexation that still defines the relationship between England and Scotland. The UK? A croc. A legal fiction. It's just England rebranded and Scotland can, legally, only be a colony. Here endeth the lesson. Now it's time for justice and liberation.

@SSalyers2 I read quasi as 'some sort of almost' when in actual fact, we're just a normal colony but hidden by England posing as the UK.

Scotland is very much part of what Mr Lugavoy is talking about. As, indeed, is the entire Celtic fringe on which the English cut their notorious colonial teeth. Blows you away to recall, if you'll forgive the imperial age reference.

Wait until countries all over the world start calling for the English colonial state to leave Scottish territory. It's coming and you probably won't believe it's happening either. Colonisers never see it coming. As an English colony, Scotland has started its decolonisation via United Nations processes. Liberation is otw. Read the recent report submitted directly to the UN Secretary General highlighting Scotland as an English colony.
