That's so sad it's the reality of most centres in Nigeria In Bingham University Teaching Hospital, the ObGYN facility is well equipped such that we have mobile very standard USS machines and a big one that we use very much frequently. As a house officer you'll be exposed to proper scanning of patients. During my housejob in BHUTH in Obgyn I was taught by @kensamms And my other chiefs how to do a range of scans. When I was doing my house job, as a house officer I was doing Umbilical artery Doppler USS independently and interpreting it and I've picked up multiple abnormalities which was confirmed by the consultants and actions was taken to deliver the baby in the case of severe preeclampsia, that timely intervention was essentially cause a delay would inadvertently lead to fetal demise. Also as a house officer, a woman came with complaints of reduced fetal movement and I was the one scanning patients in the antenatal clinic so I just scanned her and I picked up cord round the neck and called my consultant @kensamms who had taught me how to do it just a day before that and he put Clinical judgement and confirmed the scan and the woman was sectioned and the baby had cord round the neck tightly 3 times. That baby would have died as a fetus if we didn't have the facility for those investigations. Also I was also able to middle cerebral artery Doppler USS and of course the basic fetal biometry na water. In your first week in House job in BHUTH Obgyn you would have learnt how to do complete fetal biometry on USS.

When Oraimo first released their 40,000mAh power bank, there was this soldier that used to come to my shop back in FUTA to print. We used to talk, gist sometimes. He usually came with his car and some escorts. Sometimes he would just transfer money, other times he’d ask me to meet him somewhere in town and hand me books or handouts to photocopy. So when the power bank came out, he saw it on my status and showed interest. I even advertised it to him one-on-one. He agreed, made payment, and I went to get it directly from the office. It had warranty, so everything was legit. I delivered, no issues. I wasn’t expecting what happened next 😭 About a week later, he called me to meet him at a certain location. Not the first time, so I didn’t think anything of it. I got there and saw him with his fellow soldiers. I greeted him, “Good afternoon sir.” We exchanged a few words… then his face changed. Next thing, he said the power bank I sold to him was fake that it turns off at 40%. He said he bought it for office use and now it’s not working effectively 😭 Omo… the way his face changed ehn, plus his colleagues around… I just dey stammer. I tried to explain: “Sir, no be me produce am, I bought it from their office…” But baba no wan hear 😭 He started threatening me, said he would lock me up in soldier cell. Omo I nearly cry 😭 I just told him I would return it and bring another one. I rushed back to the office to get a replacement, but they told me they won’t give a new one that they would repair it and return it after like two weeks because of the warranty. At that point, na God save me Till today anything Oraimo Powerbank i no dey put hand 😂 except na customer request for it.

I was arrested last night around 11pm while trying to get food at Ibafo, before Mowe. The DCO immediately seized my phones and threw me into the back of their Sienna. At that moment, I was genuinely scared because I thought I had been kidnapped. When we got to the station, I pleaded to contact my family, but he refused and ordered that I be locked in a cell with criminals, insisting that I was a criminal. After he left, one of the female officers quietly told me I was in serious trouble and advised me to quickly use her phone to contact my parents, which I did. I spent the entire night in the cell, my first time ever, completely shaken. By morning around 8am, they brought us out and started calling out amounts like N200k, N100k, basically placing prices on our freedom. The DCO falsely accused me of smoking and doing drugs on the street, which is completely untrue. I felt helpless until my mum arrived and started questioning them about why I was arrested. The officer still insisted we had to pay money for my release. She contacted my dad, and although the DCO initially refused to speak to anyone, my dad reached out to a senior officer at Elewe Eran. That officer then called the DCO at Ibafo station and ordered my immediate release. At that point, the DCO changed his story, claiming he didn’t conduct any raid and that he just saw me doing drugs on the street when he was driving by which was a blatant lie. The officer warned him He was clearly upset that I had connections to a higher-ranking officer and shocked that I was able to contact my family despite being held without my phone. I suffered that night. I was handcuffed, and one of the officers even punched me in the mouth. It was a terrible experience, my first time ever being detained. I left and felt pity for those that have no way
