@Michssspp82096 I remember seeing this at the capitoline museum, I think there was another panel showing the inbetween point of these two, if I remember correctly
Depiction of the Capitoline hill in the early Iron age and at the the time of the new born Roman republic, after the inauguration of the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus.

@NotDollie Would it be possible to look into when you guys put these updates out?
For the past 3 arkpoc wipes, theres been an update within 3 hours of wipe, which is very frustrating because you need to wait 2 hours for the game to update, after youve waited a month for server wipe.
Today's major version update for ARK has loads of bug fixes and improvements.

There's also info about the 5.7 upgrade & content for the rest of 2026 in the Crunch today. Axolotl questions getta lotta answers 😏
@AlbertSmit92774 whats your discord id like to become a gooper ive just have your YouTube videos on all throughout my day and this is pure cinema brother keep up the good work
Please dont let this be a second payomane. Between 3 more fantastic creatures ($10) and 2 more bob's tall tales ($40), plus all the stuff already in this game (payomane BTT1 and lost colony) your going to need to spend $95 to compete in pvp
@BeefaroniJones Its not just that the meta is behind a paywall, its that the new meta sucks.
And I think a lot of the stuff is being added, knowing that pvp players will have to buy it. Creatures like Pyromane, Armadoggo and Veilwyn are purpose built to be meta in pvp
@AlbertSmit92774 I don’t agree that it’s inherently bad for new meta content to be behind a paywall, especially in the cases of content that is entirely new to Ark.
I do agree its bad for pvp, but I don’t see how Ark’s pvp gamemode is a financially worthwhile endeavor for WC at all.
@Nekatus I really like playing pvp, its just that the new creatures make it less fun. These new non fun creatures are only being added to squeeze money out of people, so how is it unfair for me to complain about that?
@BeefaroniJones@Giovann69642526 I was being rhetorical when I said they could make it trash.
The main problem is that in order to make you have to buy these things, they make them busted, not just good. They add gameplay mechanics that just make the game so much less fun to play
@AlbertSmit92774@Giovann69642526 I don’t think having an active design goal of making DLC purchases “trash” is
realistic. It’s gotta be good to justify the purchase.
@Nekatus Thats maybe like 25% of the problem. The main thing is how going out of their way to make it so strong you have to buy, adds very unfun mechanics. The veilwyn is again a perfect example. A tame that you just whistle on someone and its gg, and they can't even kill it
@AlbertSmit92774 "where having to pay at all to compete"
Thats how like any game with a PVP aspect and DLCs work. Thats totally normal. WoW is doing it since the beginning and its not a big deal imo.
@BeefaroniJones Locking meta items/tames behind a paywall suck on its own, but the bigger issue is that in an effort to make sure you have to buy it, they often add super unfun mechanics/tames which just make pvp worse overall
@BeefaroniJones I get that, but the problem is that this isn't an accident. they specifically add stuff that is only useful in pvp and then lock if behind a paywall. Look at half of the stuff in Bob's Tall Tales or in the skill tree. For example: smoke magician break you out of bolas
@Nekatus Part of it is the principle, where having to pay at all to compete is pretty lame, but also because they go out of their way to make these dinos strong, they add super unfun gameplay mechanics.
e.g.: veilwyns. Super strong + braindead easy to use + literally impossible to kill
@BeefaroniJones@Giovann69642526 Well its also worth keeping in mind, wildcard sees atleast 25% from all paid mods, so I really doubt theyre hurting for cash.
And its not like making payed dinos non meta means nobody would buy them, I bet a bunch of people would buy this bunny, even if it was complete trash
@AlbertSmit92774@Giovann69642526 I would need to see some sales figures on skins for this argument to be sound.
Imo there’s no shot skins could come anywhere close to the revenue brought in with BTT or Fantastic Tames. The interest in skins is not nearly as strong in Ark as in other titles.
@lolsteven07@Giovann69642526 I'm not saying that free creatures have no use, what I'm saying is, you cannot realistically compete without the paid creatures.
Yes things like dreadnoughts and carchas are commonly used, but you're never going to win a raid without desmos and aureliax
@AlbertSmit92774@Giovann69642526 Dreadnaughts and carchas… that’s literally the meta and has been since extinction. Will agree on the aureliax. That thing needs a pick range nerf
@Giovann69642526 Aureliax, Maeguana and Pyromane are all absolutely top of their class, theres nothing free that compares to any of these.
Also they could literally just do paid skins, like they have done three times already
Niente entrate niente roba gratuita
And if the other two paid DLCs are even half as strong as lost colony, that will be $135. And that isn't just to get some small advantage, you legit cannot compete without this stuff
