After receiving the award from the @csa_asc , our @AlbertaSat students have named their new cubesat Ex-Alta 3. The name builds on the tradition and recognition of the 2 first cubesats from the team. Onwards and upwards! #Space #exalta3 @ualbertaScience @UAlberta_Eng

Ex-Alta 3 will measure and obtain multispectral imagery of snow, ice, glaciers, and ice caps in Canada’s North while facilitating the training of Canadian highly-trained personnel and supporting the development of open source satellite components. Stay tuned for more updates!

Last night a new "cubesat" built by the @AlbertaSat team began a journey into orbit aboard a rocket launched from @NASAKennedy. Once in orbit, Ex-Alta 2 will begin its mission — giving researchers the ultimate bird’s eye view of wildfires. #UAlberta @UAlberta_Eng @ualbertaScience
