Hoy se publica nuestro trabajo sobre la relación entre el tejido adiposo en personas con obesidad y la progresión del cancer de mama, y cómo las vesículas extracelulares participan en esa relación. embopress.org/doi/abs/10.152…

@BrownLab_KUMC Treatment of breast cancer cells with extracellular vesicles from breast adipose tissue of women who are overweight or with obesity (O-EVs) promotes proliferation and increases mitochondrial density and respiration. Several miRNAs enriched in O-EVs orchestrate these effects.

A work from my last period at Weill Cornell Medicine, which I sign as co-first author with Shuchen Liu, directed by @BrownLab_KUMC . It is my pride to put another grain of sand on the path towards turning cancer into a chronic disease.
