As Acting Mayor, Mr. Duggan appointed Councillor Curtis as Acting Deputy Mayor. The Municipal Government Act allows for a by-election date to be set not later than 6 months from the occurrence of the vacancy. Council will determine the by-election date and advise residents. 2/2

The Alberton Town Council would like to update residents on the status of the Council. With David Gordon’s passing, there is now a vacancy on Council. The Council made the decision to move Deputy Mayor Duggan into the role of Acting Mayor. 1/2
