@BeachBoysFan59 @mybravefaces @gooolixx How would I know otherwise? The drumming is generic and lifeless, the flute is being played like a seatbelt alarm and the lead guitar part is absent. The vocals are stronger, but also lack the spiritual passion John Lennon had. The song is lovely but its still a downgrade by far

@sedoniye @mybravefaces @gooolixx I'm kinda sperging out here. but my point is that most modern popstars rely upon a mass cognitive dissonance between the quality of their actual music and their perceived image; created through social media and other mass propaganda tactics which are operated by PR professionals.

@mybravefaces @gooolixx yeah, it lacks any interesting instrumentation which has been sidelined to put the vocalist front and centre. This is to serve a cult of personality which most popstars subsist upon. This is the reason why pop music is generally awful but successful anyway.

On that album, a lot of things work against Adrian’s vocals tho, with the voice filter on Prozakc blues and the awful mixing on into the frying pan.

@GAbductee77 @JayExci I mean, the Catholic Church did develop modern western science and the morality through which secular law is based upon today. Before Christianity, Europe operated on a system of might = right based on rulers’ supposed relation to pagan gods/legends. Christianity deposed this.
