Thanks to all who came along to our London event yesterday. In particular our panelists from @EFL @InstAlcStud and @Geoff_Pearson for some great discussion.

@Geoff_Pearson @FansHaveRights Great question. Fans felt that these areas of the legislation were necessary and fair but also felt that football fans were treated unfairly much of the time. When discussing this in the focus groups fans were more supportive of these measures as being part of ground regulations.

@FansHaveRights It's @Alcohol_FC's project so they can answer this with more authority. There was clear support for reform of the law in this area, but the detail of what that would look like and how ground regs would work to fill the regulatory gap is more complex.

Enjoyed being a panelist at this event yesterday. The key lessons I took from the project: fans broadly support existing rules prohibiting drunken stadium entry and taking in own alcohol but oppose the prohibitions on alcohol on transport and drinking in sight of the pitch.
