@oxidejoyrides twitter, patreon and substack are converging on some kind of format 'evolution' and competing in that space is my observation.

i can kind of tell substack is going to take the mantle from twitter and certainly bluesky in due time but the fact it's almost entirely absent of low culture makes me kind of wary

@oxidejoyrides i disagree here, i've seen more short form stuff on it lately, i think it's trying to become more of a platform and seems to have more of a mandate then bluesky, for better or worse.

@oxidejoyrides yeah the vibe is off, and i don't think that kind of culture can be diluted by it's blend of new york intellectuals and culture industry ladder climbers. you need a base of ravenous furriers, disinterested gamers or even reddit adults, something to offset the concentration
