I’m really at a crossroads with this account. I started it to share stats because I’m a nerd and I saw an interest. But now it’s turned into a hub for whingers, complainers and conspiracy theorists. People would rather talk about the crowd than the game and I’m worried I’m contributing to this. Anyway, just some thoughts.

🚨 Turmoil in Wanderland Following last night's loss, the feeling is that Juan Mata is unhappy with manager Alen Stajcic. Mata was taken off at half time, it's now understood that he perceives the Wanderers boss as tactically inept, lacking leadership qualities. More to come.

Gabriel Lacerda Update: 🇧🇷 I can confirm the Ceara defender has arrived in Sydney, some time within the last 48 hours. He has already met with team and staff, now ready to be revealed as a Sydney FC player shortly. Lacerda will join on loan for the 23/24 season.

✅️ Official and Confirmed: Jarrod Carluccio joins Perth Glory on loan from Wanderers. At one stage, this deal looked unlikely with Carluccio's agent unhappy with certain agreements. That has been cleared up, Jarrod will arrive with the expectation of quality game-time.

Perth trial ex-Macarthur Player: 🇨🇾 Interesting from last night, former Bulls and FC Mitjylland Midfielder Antonis Martis trialled with Glory in a friendly last night. He was a standout on the park, playing 60 minutes in 4-0 win against Floreat Athena. One to keep an eye on.
