@TazimWajidWajed @mayoungkin That’s like using a racist trope against someone and then being like “Oh c’mon, that could apply to anyone! It’s not just because you’re (insert race here).”

@mayoungkin It’s an incendiary statement that can be used to tell anyone “you have no idea what you’re talking about,” but its appropriateness isn’t being defended.

This is patently false relaying of fact dude… AND EXTREMELY FUCKED UP ON YOUR PART! Shilo made a very simple and quite frankly immature retort in disagreement with her reporting that simply put contradicted the messaging from both the Head Coach and the GM. He could’ve made that statement to anyone(male or female), yet YOU made it into a matter of misogyny by adding YOUR own words, and YOUR own context. Shilo wrote “Go make a sandwich.” YOU, Emmanuel Acho are the one who misquoted him with the statement “make me a sandwich!” Attempting to virtue signal someone else while lacking virtue is interesting at best. Seeking these viral moments for a check has really revealed just how amoral and immoral many of you will stoop to get your next one… That’s sad indeed…AND THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT… PERIOD.
Emmanuel Acho@EmmanuelAcho

Shilo Sanders crossed the line with the Mary Kay Cabot “make me a sandwich” comment. Just because he doesn’t think it’s misogynistic doesn’t make it any less grossly misogynistic.

@jesserandall16 @7points @49ers_dude @Coach_Yac That’s fine, I’m just giving context to the point Whitner was trying to make for the people who didn’t get to listen to the conversation. He’s assuming that if you’re already light at the combine, you’re probably actually even lighter than that.

Donte Whitner on the 49ers drafting EDGE Romello Height: “You know who I compare Romello Height to? I compare him to Kayvon Thibodeaux. Kayvon Thibodeaux came out of Oregon in 2022. He was explosive. He was the most dominating DE in college. What happened when he got over to the NY Giants? Dud. 👎 All hype.” 🎥: @thegritcode

@7points @49ers_dude @Coach_Yac Idk if you know this, but the players don’t weigh in and then immediately take their place to run the 40. There are 2 ex-Pro Bowlers on that podcast and they both said players are instructed by agents to manipulate their weight upward for the weigh in to appear more athletic

@Alectricityyyyy @49ers_dude @Coach_Yac lol that makes zero sense…all the money & hype is in the 40 time…they’re literally cutting & speed training for the combine…why a lot of those dudes won’t do the 225lb bench & do it a month later at the pro day & let the combine 40 stand…

@49ers_dude @7points @Coach_Yac Whitner’s point was that athletes do everything they can to increase their weight at the combine. Drink gallons of water right before, etc. Whitner’s perspective is that if Height weighed 240, he’s really closer to 230 or less, which might not cut it in the NFL.

@7points @Coach_Yac I agree. Height is a little light but like you said he can easily move up. Might take a year for his body to transform to NFL form.

@halfdecent_710 @HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums It made too much sense not to bring him home and he’s a hero in Pats circles. And then took the Pats to the Super Bowl immediately after the Jerod Mayo fiasco. His job is probably safer than safe

@HeaterCeaser @halfdecent_710 @cradlesworlddd @nflrums If I make a fool of myself in public and someone records me and puts it online and it goes viral, my company would be well within their rights to fire me. You think there’s nothing in an NFL HC’s contract to prevent them from doing the same? Whether they can or will are separate.

@halfdecent_710 @HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums I agree with that. Whether they take action or not is irrelevant imo. I like Vrabel, I wanted him to go to the Pats, I think he’s a good coach. But how some people can say he did absolutely nothing wrong or unbecoming of a HC and should face zero consequences is beyond me.

@halfdecent_710 @HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums Because they don’t want to? Maybe they never do, maybe it just hasn’t happened yet. It’s not an automatic process, it’s at the team’s discretion. But to say it would be completely baseless if they did is totally missing the context of the situation.

@halfdecent_710 @HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums And I like Vrabel! I wanted him to go to the Pats. My in-laws are die-hard Pats fans. My twin brother is a Pats fan. I don’t want him to get fired or step away or any of that. I just don’t understand how some people can say he did absolutely nothing wrong at all.

@halfdecent_710 @HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums He almost certainly did violate his contract for putting the team in a bad light. Every employment contract has that language. If I made a fool of myself in public my company can fire me for it. “Affair with NFL reporter” doesn’t have to be explicitly stated in the contract.

@HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums Also, his conduct almost certainly breached clauses in his contract related to putting the Patriots in a bad light. Whether the team owner with his own history of sexual impropriety fires him for it is irrelevant. As an NFL HC, he absolutely breached his duties.

@HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums I feel like your take would apply in 99% of professions, but not in this case. I don’t think there needs to be contractual language to prevent professional conflicts of interest and breaches of ethics. Players get punished at work for things they do off the clock all the time.

@HeaterCeaser @cradlesworlddd @nflrums You don’t think there should be professional consequences for a married NFL HC with children who’s having a years-long affair with a married NFL reporter who also has children while preaching accountability and not being a distraction to the locker room?

@JackD98276818 @Larsona_5 He broke several ribs in the beginning of the season and played through it because the 49ers had a JUCO WR room last year. He’s tough as they come

@thinblue2064 @Larsona_5 Couldn’t be further from the truth. Coaches loved him, teammates loved him. His agent just thought he would make more as a FA and they turned down reasonable extension offers for a few years in favor of shorter term deals. Overplayed his hand this offseason with all the FA WRs

@Thechat101 How can you point out that reporters have clauses in their contracts that prohibit them from fraternizing with the people they’re meant to report on, and then in the same breath say her years-long affair with an NFL HC is only jeopardizing her career because she’s a woman?
