@Oom_Rugby But is by far the best all round 9 ever - able to play multiple positions easily at professional level is something to behold.

@Oom_Rugby I don’t think he’s the best passing 9, (Aaron smith crispness) but he’s always on the move and threatening ruck defenders so they can’t switch off or he’ll exploit them. His identification of space is amazing and has the ability to pick players out with both footed kicks.

@Aled_Lewis9 Spin pass are useful, cut out players, speed, take out big chunks of defenders out quickly, more off the defensive line pass so it has its place, but to fix defenders in place while travelling fast at the jaws of the beast you need to keep the ball big for catching & passing 👌🏽

#SkillChat 1. Keep the ball big makes it easy to catch, fix, pass 2. Tumble pass 👌🏽 3. Get a 1 on 1 close to line 4. Not a spin pass in sight 🫶🏽 = short passing skills ✅

@monners1969 I Know where you’re coming from mate - was there last season. It is tough but also need to look at positives. 2 teams out most weekends, and as long as the boys have enjoyed is the main thing. Can be a lonely place coaching at times but you’re good at what you do so stick with it

Whilst the rugby community slaps itself on the back for promotions and great seasons - spare a thought for some of us who have struggled all season, ended up in the basement and are trying to take a deep breath and go again next season (despite having a job a family and pride) x

If you haven’t watched #whistleblowers yet do so now. A fantastic insight into the pressures rugby refs face. @BucksRFURS

@thedeadballarea So I think players could play for longer if they look after themselves, even though rugby is more physical than ever. If they want to continue playing is another thing.

@thedeadballarea Looks after himself well - recovery and training in the week- if he’s enjoying and is still adding value to the team I don’t think age matters. Recovery methods are the best they’ve ever been and players are looked after pretty well these days…..

Mike Brown is 38. Still playing top flight rugby (and well), and still puts his body in crazy situations and takes a ludicrous battering... his longevity is incredible.

@SamLStandsUp England would take the win. The attacking quality they have you would think they would back themselves a bit more. Some of their kicks tonight were aimless and seemed panicked. They’ve been together for a good 10-12 weeks and that’s the attack they are producing.

England have played 160 mins of rugby - conceded a single try and have a positive pts diff of +39 The big concern last week was the lack of tries. They just got the bonus point tonight. I fear for many, the narrative has already been set and the reality doesn't matter.

A great day at the club yesterday which saw the 1XV reach the final of the Papa Johns Cup. We will face @DartfordiansRFC in what will be a huge challenge. The game will be held at The StoneX stadium (home of Saracens RFC) on Sunday 7th May. Further supporter info to follow.

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Coaches: “Play what you see” Also Coaches: “Exit inside your 22. Contestable kick from 22-50. Have a go 50-22 Inside 22 get into our red zone shape”
RussellEarnshaw@russellearnshaw

Hearing players talk about game plans based upon arbitrary lines on the pitch where no rules change when you cross the line might mean coaches are maybe not coaching attentional cues as well as they could be...

@offfieldrugby I do agree with you - The only thing I would say - the best team in the world right now are probably the most structured? They deffo were under Joe Schmidt. Also, Leinster also top 3/4 teams in the world. I could be V wrong here and call me out if you disagree.

@Gav_S_Harper Give it then and allow LRZ a 1-1 or let LRZ identify the space in behind and put a kick in. Full back is committed and not going to turn and catch him. Harris did too much I think. Yes Zammit should have caught the offload but was too close to the defender to be a threat.
