@nazylmv Ultimately it’s the leaders who have to take responsibility as they failed to lead the people into the right direction. The backup system is still holding good as the people change the govt every five years and give the chance to someone new to serve and do better.

While the substance of the discussions were good, I am left disappointed with where the majority of conversations ended up. A lot of blame on citizens, for not knowing, for not speaking up, for not being involved in the reform. Even though this was corrected towards the end to acknowledge the struggles of the common man, there was zero accountability by @MDPSecretariat on their role as leaders.
So I ask you @AleeVoice what are the responsibilities of leaders? Why have there not been campaigns to educate us? Why have there not been enough oversight on the government as the opposition? Are you saying as the opposition you had no role to play in the lack of support for you? Why are people choosing to not support MDP?
When will your leaders like IMS come forth and apologize for letting people like Hoara Ibbe and Adeeb go? When will he apologize for using state resources to disburse land to garner favour? Why did he promote and reward law breakers by forgiving all traffic violations which the current government is still upholding? When will MN apologize for uprooting the entire opposition with their new party and “roolhaalan” campaign?
People aren’t the problem, they are the responsibility. Leaders are elected or appointed to solve problems, not shift them onto the public when things get hard.
It’s easy to lecture citizens about discipline, sacrifice, or “doing better.” It’s much harder to admit policy failures, poor planning, corruption, or incompetence. But that’s exactly what real leadership demands. Accountability isn’t weakness, it is the foundation of legitimacy.
When leaders blame citizens, they erode trust. When they take responsibility, they earn it. And without trust, no policy, no reform, no vision will ever truly work.
Stop scapegoating the public. Start owning the consequences of power.
