Usually, it makes a horizontal fan pattern, but this one went straight up. I also was sitting on the beach, shooting with my 200-500mm to get this image.

@AlejandroChai5 As a volunteer, I can say that I have seen all manner of stupid behavior around our Hawaiian monk seals, from tourists and residents alike. Thankfully, there seems to be a big push to raise awareness in recent years.

GM, my friends! Had a great weekend with my first visit to PO5, and a volunteer shift watching over PO4… Pup Oahu 4 (PO4) is a female pup born to a first-time mother, and PO5 is a male born to Luana (#monksealRN58), who happens to be the first pup I watched. Here she is in 2013.
