🔥 Most traders don’t fail because of their strategy… they fail because they’re obsessed with the money. Here’s why that mindset sabotages you 👇 💰 When you fixate on “I need to make money today,” your emotions take over. That pressure makes you: • Jump into weak setups • Skip good ones out of fear • Hold losers hoping they’ll turn around • Cut winners too early Outcome-focused thinking = emotional trading. 🎯 The solution? Shift your focus from money to process. Your job isn’t to “win the trade.” Your job is to execute your plan. Every second, every trade, follow the process. 🧠 A simple mindset routine helps you stay grounded: Before trading: “I’m here to follow my plan. I can't control outcomes." Ingrain it. Believe it. During trading: Talk yourself through entries, exits, and rules. Reminding yourself of them constantly. If you notice random impulsive thoughts pop up, note them, and then state what you will follow your rules, and what your rules are. Constantly. It keeps the emotional brain quiet. After trading: Ask one question: “Did I follow my process?” Not “Did I make money?” Score yourself based on following your process. 📈 When you commit to the process, everything gets easier: • Less stress • Fewer impulsive trades • More consistency • Better long-term results Focus on execution. Let the profits take care of themselves.

Trading is very simple. The problem is the worrying, the expectations, the lack of patience. For those reasons, trading is anything but easy.

Expect nothing from the market. Take what it gives. Follow your system. You’ll never be disappointed... because you’re not chasing, you’re aligning. Normalize losing. It’s part of the game.

Be less in your head and more with your plan. Most of the time, it's your thinking that gets you into trouble.

True Growth Springs From Letting-Go. Letting Go of Judgement, including Self Judgment. Letting Go of Fear; Fear of Failure , Fear of Missing Out, Fear of Uncertainty, Fear of Loss, Fear of Trying, Fear of Abandonment, Fear of the What-ifs, which so often hold us back. Letting Go of the Outcomes, and the should haves, could haves, would haves, did, and instead, accepting and moving-on. Letting Go of what feels safe and secure, of what you know, of what has served you in the past, or what you think served you in the past. Letting Go of Safety: Habits, thought process, behaviours and patterns you are familiar with, and being willing to try something different. Letting Go of your antipathy to being exposed and vulnerable. Letting Go of all of the above leaves you in a position of great vulnerability, but that’s what you need to be willing to do to change, grow, become. Letting Go, is Moving on, Moving past, Moving Forward. Yes it may not work out the way you want, but the other option is being stuck in what already isn’t working anymore. Without Letting Go, you’ll never know what was possible.

In the market, your mind is not your friend. Your mind is built for survival out in the open, its job is to protect you from harm at all costs. That's why trading rules are important―they're there to protect you against yourself.

The biggest risk in trading is not in the market; it’s in yourself. Every action you take is done by you, but often the market forces us to make decisions that become those actions. If your decisions are owned by the market, then you’re just a puppet of the market, dancing to its tune, doing what it wants you to do. When that is the case, whatever money you allocate to trading, will overtime your become the market’s money.

The dilemma of trading: A process focus is what’s needed 💰 But An outcome focus is what tends to happen 😡 You want good results, but you don’t want them at the expense of corrupting the process that brings them.🤔

Doing trading and being a trader aren’t the same. You can trade for years without truly being a trader. Trading is an action you take; being a trader is a mindset that evolves. It's key for consistent and lasting success. #TradingMindset #trading

Spent time with aspiring traders this week. They're focused on quick gains, like I once was, which leads to failure. Like many of us, when I was struggling to make money I started to chase even more. Setting me back even further. It’s only when I started to temper expectations and look to just break even and defend my account is when I actually started turning the corner. It's not glamorous and it sounds counter productive, but it slows you down, teaching money management over chasing gains. It shifts focus to protecting capital rather than growing it instantly. These lessons are crucial. You set yourself up for failure by shortening the race. The odds are against you if you’re new and under capitalized, so change your mindset to increase your probability of success. Remember, new traders seeking funding or trading small accounts, time is your ally. Early money-making attempts are against steep odds, setting you up for failure. Heading into next year slow things down. Adopt a long-term strategy for successful trading and focus on solid short-term execution, and results will follow faster.
